According to the old EU, there were two difference species of krayt dragons. The Canyon Krayt, which is the one we see in all the media, and the Greater Krayt Dragon which was bigger and more serpentine and which left those bones.

How cool would a nature show set in the Star Wars universe be? I can’t think of anything better.
I’m not sure I’d want to know about the mating habits of mynocks or space slugs. 😉
Where were you in '77?
Of course but Gungan and Womp Rat mating habits are a completely different matter 😉

Is there an in universe (so I’m not talking about emulating Dam Busters) reason for the trenches on the Death Star? I was thinking about it and I realized the trench was a bigger flaw in design than the Exhaust Port. The Exhaust Port was a known factor. Darth Vader knew about it, it was ray shielded, the whole shebang.
But WHY is there a trench leading straight to it that enables your enemy to remain hidden from most of the blaster fire and possibly even hidden from view of the fighters defending the ship?
The only answer I’ve come up with is that the trench is part of a Giant radiator needed to expel heat from the Death Star.
There was a Legends novel simply called Death Star that might touch on that. I never read it, but it was about the construction process. I just picked up the canon novel Catalyst today which I believe will deal with a lot of the same stuff. I’ll chime in again if it has an explanation.

I’ve actually never thought about it. When you think about it, it’s pretty funny. They even had turbo lasers in the trench just in case some enemy fighter was flying in the trench.
According to this it’s a polar trench: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/originals/56/65/91/5665915ff2327d17ff7d9e54e97714e8.jpg

I figure the trench makes it even easier to confine and blast anybody trying to attack. It’s also an obstacle that makes getting to the one weakness more challenging.
It could also be used as a utility road used by maintenance that leads to other points for quick fixin’.

I don’t know if that’d work as well as not having a trench. The turrets formerly in the trench are still there, while the even surface would have more guns to aim at people going for the exhaust port.
Nah, it’s like a trap to catch a rabbit. You want to get it running down a trench so you can nab it. Otherwise it’s got any and every direction to run. Judging by the film, that worked just fine. Almost everyone who dove into the trench died there.
Sure, the Rebels blew the thing up, but only because one special boy with a ghost to guide him could tap into an ancient magical power that gave him the ability to fire at just the right moment and lock onto just the right target. Not because of poor design.
I’ve always seen The Force as eternal rather than something of antiquity. The fact that Jedi Knights were everywhere 20 years prior to the Battle of Yavin is a testament to that.

I’m sure this is not a new question, but What do Vader and Palps do in their free time?

On my quest to find a comedic response, I stumbled upon… whatever this is. I’d heard of this before, but never seen the horrors.

Oh god. I remember the bleak time when it seemed like that was the only new SW TV show or movie we’d be getting in the future. Thankfully Disney bought LFL a few months later and dug a very deep grave for that.

I’ve seen it before. I think they put all the jokes they could make into the trailer, and doubt a full series would have been all that good.
For better or worse I doubt Disney would ever let something like that exist again.
Forget Catalyst, this is the real Rogue One prequel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYRHngrc4o0
JEDIT: Okay, this sucks, but the final bit made me laugh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5r28SwZk7Y
On the plus side, Detours makes the Holiday Special almost look good. 😉
Disney probably spared us a lot of pain burying that thing.

Am I the only one who thinks the white lighting of these sandcrawler interiors make them look too clean and sterile?
A dingy yellow or orange would’ve be more fitting, IMO.

“Now there are two” only has 4% of the vote. Probably because they forgot “of them.”

We really only ever saw the “garage” area of the Sandcrawler in the original film. Maybe Jawas like the other parts of the ship nice and clean? 😉

Yeah, now that you mention it. That’s still probably my favorite shot in the prequels though.
