Josh Summers Texas, United states August 1, 2012 I agree with everthing on this page, Mr. Lucas has the rights to change anything but atleast give fans the unaltered cuts if they want them. If he did release it, it would print money!

Richard Pietrzak New York, United States of America August 5, 2012 Being 18, I was obviously not around to see star wars in its original theatrical run. The only version that I own are the special edition vhs tapes. I do greatly enjoy that version of the film, but knowing that the changes to the film went beyond remasterinjg and some special effect upgrades does make me wish to see the film in its original form. Not even necessarily because it will be better, because I grew up on the special edition, but because it is a piece of cultural history and i am sadened to have never experienced it.
Brad Hawkins TX, USA August 5, 2012
David Toms MI, United States August 5, 2012 Lucas is no longer the iconoclastic auteur, and should thus reconsider his attitude towards film-making. That, of course, assumes he writes or directs another original feature film in his lifetime.

Holly McCarthy New Mexico, U.S.A. August 8, 2012 Re-writing, redoing Star Wars is equivalent to re-writing or re-doing my life. I've seen this film 34 times. I watched its original release 14 times as a kid, paying for every showing with money I earned babysitting spoiled children. My moral code solidified from these cinematic experiences. SAVE STAR WARS. PLEASE!

Edward Comas Ny, USA August 8, 2012
Jamie Mansfield Ut, USA August 9, 2012 I fell in love with Star Wars because of the Original, Unedited Versions. I would like nothing more than to see those versions on a clear, crisp Blu-Ray without the "special editon" additions.
Isaac Gross Texas, United States of America August 10, 2012 I found out about this site through the movie "The People vs. George Lucas". I am ashamed that I have referred to myself as a Star Wars fan but have never even seen the original trilogy. My first Star Wars experience was the "THX Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition Boxed Set." I would love to be able to see the original trilogy in its true form. Apparently Han shot first ;)
pavel nedkov burgas, bulgaria August 10, 2012
Evan Smith North Carolina, USA August 11, 2012 "The Empire Strikes Back" is my favorite movie of all time. "Star Wars" and "Return of the Jedi" are a tie for second. I want to enjoy the original versions of these films for the rest of my life. Yub-nub and all.

Christopher Krulewicz NJ, USA August 12, 2012
jon gawne ma, usa August 12, 2012 I don't think Star Wars should be allowed to claim it is in the Registry, until they have a decent print.
Corey Faircloth va, usa August 13, 2012 I would like all versions released in every cappacity. Original Theatrical, THX re-release, special edtiion, blu-ray. I'll buy them all, but please please please, release THEM ALL!
People bought the blade runner, brazil, close encounters, we DEFINETLY WILL BUY ALL OF THEM. PLEASE.
Matthew Last McLean, VA August 14, 2012 Allow us to have the version that we grew up with on a digital format, please..
Chris Finn Texas, United States August 14, 2012 I still own Empire and Jedi on VHS, and I love them to death. I would love to have the originals on DVD, not Lucas' films that he dares put the name "Star Wars" on.
