5553 Marshall Langohr Washington, United States of America July 19, 2012 Mr. Lucas,
I have grown up adoring your films and made my friends watch them again and again at home when I was a kid. Now I'm an adult, I have become a filmmaker myself and love my profession. I owe much of what I do to the magic that was presented to me through Star Wars when I was a child. I love and cherish the films I grew up with and respectfully ask that you do us, your fans, this service of bringing those memories back to us.

Sincerely,
Marshall Langohr

5565 Brendan Wood Queensland, Australia July 24, 2012 Mr Lucas. This is the measuring stick off which you will be remembered. Ensure your legacy is one of love and joy, not of frustration and anger.

Give us the originals, we have not given up on you. Please dont give up on yourself.

Remember why you started making movies in the first place, and return to us the original trilogy the way it was first presented to us.

5573 John Petersen Iowa, 50010 July 26, 2012 Bottom line, if you release the original theatrical cuts on Blu-Ray I will not hesitate to buy the set! If not, forget it.
5574 Seth Clayton WA, US July 26, 2012 i dont understand why you dont release the orginal version. i hate all the extra scenes it ruins the movie for me
5575 Marc Wallace Michigan, USA July 26, 2012 I deserve to watch both versions. I want to have the choice to watch either version as I choose. Sometimes I just want to watch it how I remember as a kid in the theater. Do not take that away from me in this High Definition generation. I hear so many stories and I understand the originals cuts are not up to snuff but we need to preserve film as a medium. Why would he not want to do it for film preservations sake. G. Lucas owns the rights so ultimately it is up to him. Please Mr. Lucas give me my childhood back in high definition.
5576 Curtis Bohl TX, USA July 26, 2012 Please give us a chance to watch what I grew up with. I just want something I watched as a kid without haveing to pay some fanboy 3 thousand dollars. Thank You
5577 Marco Di Stefano SP, Brazil July 26, 2012 Amazing work, I really hope gearge Lucas allow us to see the Star Wars original trilogy, with this incredible upgrade.
Sincerlly
Marco
5578 Christopher Tonarely Florida, The United States of America July 27, 2012 Yes, yes. Like all the others, I love the films too. But I don't really mind you changing the films. I don't think many people TRULY have a problem with that. The problem is that you are trying to rewrite history, edit a story that a whole generation fell in love with. And who knows? You may just win. Sure, maybe by the time the last of your original, faithful fans has passed on, the legend will die. People will no longer feel so strongly about the films. But you will be gone with them too, possibly even before most of them. Do you really want your fans to see you off, obviously mourning but still unforgiving over how, even on your death bed, you did not try to truly win back their hearts? What kind of a hero would you be if you released the originals, unpolised or not? A grand hero: one of histories' greatest prodigal sons. But what do I know? I'm just a seventeen year old kid.
Hoping you change your mind, though you probably will never do so,

Christopher I. Tonarely
5579 Abe Millett CT, United States July 27, 2012 I can't remember a time in my life before I had seen Star Wars. I watched the original release vhs tapes with my cousins almost every weekend, and I want my new baby to have the same experience. Please preserve this pivotal piece of history.
5580 Denis Carlin Bern, Switzerland July 27, 2012
5581 Thomas Allen Essex, England July 27, 2012 The original are just awesome and its a crime to release the "enhanced" edition and not the original. A crime against humanity
5582 Roland Riggs New York, USA July 27, 2012
5583 Matt Mayer MO, USA July 27, 2012 Please. Do you know how hard and expensive it is to find a laser disc and laser disc player?!?
5584 kayleigh krackenberger Florida, USA July 27, 2012
5585 Chris Johnson Md, United States July 28, 2012 Release OT to Dvd/Blu-Ray ASAP !
5586 Jesper Bengtson Not applicable, Sweden July 28, 2012 The movies you created were sublime master pieces, and advances in techrnology allows us to see these master pieces in a restored format. I do not deny you the right to make changes to your previous work, but I do ask that you also provide us with the originals.

I will not pay a single cent for the special ediitions released in recent years. I will, however, pay top dollar for the blu-ray versions of the theatrical releases.

Making all versions available provide a chronological survey of the evolution of the movies. Not doing so, however, is equivalent to rewriting the history books, something that I hope you can agree on should not be done.
5587 John Dillon NY, USA July 28, 2012
5588 Kristopher Rangel VA, USA July 28, 2012 Please release the original theatrical version on DVD or Bluray so I can get rid of my VCR.

5596 Jeanette Sanchez florida, United States July 30, 2012 I just wish that George Lucas as much as he respect him he should respect us fans and release the original films.
5597 James Duffy III New York, United States July 30, 2012 When I was in basic training when one of my Drill Sergeants noticed my Imperial tattoo and said " Let me guess, you joined the Army because you want to be a Storm Trooper?" No lie, I looked him square in the face and said "Yes Drill Sergeant, I joined the Army to be a Storm Trooper." He actually laughed and didn't make me do push ups because I told the truth. And I have "Sith" on my Dog Tags.
5598 David Yahnke New York, United States July 30, 2012 I have been a fan of star wars for my life though i was born in the 90's and grew up with the special edition but I don't like it. Shortly after my father showed me the original 1977 version and I LOVE IT! It's disrespectful to change other people's work after they worked so hard on it. George Lucas PLEASE GO BACK TO 77!
5599 John Carr Missouri, USA July 31, 2012 I hope the future of this film does not end up as grim as is expected.
5600 Troy Woodard WA, United States July 31, 2012
