| 5402 | devin peterman | IL, usa | June 19, 2012 | I found the original Empire Strikes Back on sale in an old video store on VHS for 2 dollars and I cherish it. Not that I loathe the new versions like many others do but because it is a little piece of history and I would like to see all the old ones on DVD so I can compare and contrast the two versions. |

| 5408 | Alexander Welch | VA, United States | June 20, 2012 | I was lucky enough to live before the DVD "special edition" was released and that Star Wars is the one that I will always cherish. My VHS copies are starting to deteriorate and there is little I would love more then to see a DVD version of the original trilogy. |

Release the originals on Blu-Ray, please. Don't you want audiences to see how the movies initially looked? Ridley Scott may not like the original cut of Blade Runner but he kept it intact just for those who wanted to see what it was like. Why don't you do the same? Thanks, Barnes. |

Mr. Lucas, First of all, I'd like to say that I love your films and have loved them since I was a small child. My family still owns pre-special edition versions of the trilogy on VHS, and they are now old and worn. Like many fans, I greatly appreciate this version of Star Wars and prefer it to the later releases that contain so many changes. For many years, I expected that the original version would be released once again. Of course, I'm still waiting and am almost tempted to give up hope. If you could restore the original theatrical cuts of the Star Wars trilogy, I would be really thankful! |

| 5441 | Melissa Walshe | Massachusetts, United States | June 29, 2012 | Unopened DVD sets with the original cut sell for $200 on Amazon, and I would pay it if I had it to spend. When the original theatrical cuts become available, I will buy them, but until then, I will not spend a dime on Star Wars releases or merchandise. Your abuse of rapidly changing video formats is both egocentric and unkind, given how much the original version means to so many of the staunchest Star Wars fans. Please reconsider. |
