Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

If you need foreign subs, I'm available for a French one, but only until sept 29th... or on week ends.

JEDIT: Just finished watching it, it's very good, although as we told you in the previous doc you were too modest about yourself, using the "we" instead of "I", now you're almost too confident (seriously, people generally don't like it when people talk about themselves using the 3rd person). Just say "I", instead of "we" or "Harmy", it would be way better.

Actually, I'm planning two MKV versions, the main one with 15000Kbps BD compatible stream and lossless audio and then another, cropped to 1280x542 at a much lower bitrate with the same audio options as the AVCHD for those, who want a more compact MKV version of around 5GB (it's preferable to people making their own smaller encodes with crappy settings from an already re-compressed source) - I could technically already release the smaller MKV now but I don't want people thinking it's the main MKV release.

When do you think you could release the main mkv?

It's up on paradox now! If someone put it up on the spleen, I'd be grateful :-)

@Feallan: I have 8.0, which I believe is the latest version.

Can I get a search term?   The last post with the word 'DESPECIALIZED' in it was 6 days ago.

The thread title says "Star Wars", but it's for the whole trilogy. The links for ESB are inside :)

Downloading the AVCHD now, but that's only because I can't wait!

Seamless branching worked fine with me using Adobe Encore.

As far as I know Adobe Encore doesn't support seamless branching... again, playlists are NOT the same.

I put two different video files in a timeline and the transition was seamless is all.

Adobe Encore doesn't support seamless branching no, but you can use BDEdit afterwards to remove all the duplicate video files and link them all to the same place.

This is exactly what we call a playlist.

Have you ever tried seamless branching before?  From what I hear, it usually ain't so seamless.

True for DVD but I think bluray is a different matter as the files are physically different.

I used seamless branching for a multilingual Blu-ray based on Harmy's DeEd and foreign projects based on it with multiAVCHD. Well I can confirm it's NOT seamless AT ALL. But I think professional software might be able do fix it.

Does multiAVCHD really support seamless branching? I'd think it just uses playlists, which is something completely different (and thus not seamless).

Well yes, that's what I used actually, but I don't know any other way of doing the same thing.

Much appreciated guys - it seems the returning of the broken motherboard won't work out (they found that some of the pins on the CPU bed were slightly bent and tey said I must have done it and gave it as a reason to not refund me for the mobo, even though I'm convinced it can't possibly be what was causing the problems, which didn't appear until I put in the additional RAM), so this will help a little to cover the cost of the new one.

I had exactly the same problem a few years ago  Never went back to that store.

Didn't think it would be as difficult to rank as it sounds, I guess I was assuming it was all noted down in a spreadsheet with the converted values to your local denomination (if that's what paypal shows you on the receiving end) next to names...  A text file of names you'd have to match up to donations in multiple currencies this long after the fact, yeah, that'd be a hassle.  It was just a thought, stemming from my wondering how my donation stacked up to others, more comparison than competition, really.

Yeah, I agree with Harmy on this one.  Showing what each person donated would be slapping it in the faces of the ones who either didn't send in a comparable amount or couldn't afford to.  I know that's not your intentions (at least I hope not) but some people would take it that way.

Alphabetized is probably best. (send me the file, Harmy, if you still need that done)

Really a bad idea. Personally I gave a bit less than I wanted, but what I could

Use JDownloader, force download and you can download like 20 files at the same time each at 300Kbps.

I would, but I'm a mac person and I didn't see a mac installer. Either way, I'll just wait for v2 so I don't use more discs than I have to

I'm a Mac person too and I can tell you cause I'm using it: There IS a Mac version for Jdownloader.

Wow! Just came back from the "Star Wars identities" exhibition in the north of Paris to see this. Will dl ASAP even though there's no foreign track.

Also I checked the credits vid out, while I thought I didn't care that much about my name appearing, well I must say I'm proud of being part of your projects even by only giving less than I wanted to. (and by appearing in the credits too :))
