It's a work in progress, sure. It could be better, of course. And I was trying to point out what I thought was wrong with it and gave my thoughts on what you might do to make it better. I guess I could line up and say "it looks great, DE!", but then I'd be at least partially lying. :/

The simple answer to this is if you don't like it then make it yourself

Ady, my heart goes out to you and your family, I know exactly what your going through at the moment, I lost my Dad last year at the age of 78.

New Forum Layout
Time

Ok where do we sign up for the petition to get this forum back to a wider screen layout???

Or do we need Adywan to fix this also???

Hate the new layout, what the hell was you thinking about to do this????

Everything these days is going wide screen, this is a step backward in my opinion

Might as well get the old 12" green screen monitor out

What a complete idiot!!

Can't believe the cheek of some of you guys, Ady's been working his bollocks off for the past 3 years correcting and improving these films, doing the same work, Lucas employs a company to do, or should I say should have done, and you bloody moan that he's having a break from them for a while.

For christ sake give the guy a break, does he have to post every single thing he does in a day? I think not!

Moaning about it won't make Ady work any faster!

This thread needs to get back on track instead of talking about outdated games, the Snowspeeder flaps are a good point though.

As for this thread being dead, well 478 pages isn't bad, it'll just keep growing with anticipation of the release.

Here is a mockup I did, using the models from the XWA Upgrade project.

On the left is the gray "ANH" TIE fighter, the middle is the blue "ESB" TIE they did, and on the right is one where I just took the desaturated blue TIE and put a blue overlay on it.

I made those :)

Hi Ady, first thanks so much for the DVD9 version

negative1 thanks for the torrent, but you should have left the rar files as they where when you first downloaded them, it's a little late to start another torrent the damage is done.

Ady Quickpar is still reporting the same error, thankfully only this one file

VTS_01_0.VOB (47/52 blocks) is still reporting the same error

I followed all your instructions to the T

Ady,
I have yet to see this edit of yours, PC troubles,

But I used to take criticism badly for the things I made and people didn't like or wanted to change, as I got a little older and wiser I came up with a little quote for them "If you don't like it make it yourself" knowing damned well that the people giving the criticism didn't have the first clue where to start. Just saying keep up the great work and don't let the jerks who don't like what you have done get you down

The point is, this Edit is in it's final stages, last I read Ady had around 30 more things to fix, what your asking or suggesting now, and has probably been asked before. If not, Adywan has a very keen eye for detail, there are numerous mistakes in the original film that you or I would miss in the blink of an eye, but Adywan with the help of too many to name, have found these errors and has corrected the mistakes.

When the Edit is finished and you have it playing, I'll bet you anything you can't list every error that has been corrected let alone finding al the errors in the original film in the first place, without some sort of list pointing out the corrected errors.

Please don't take this the wrong way, no one is getting at you personally, but if you had been here from the beginning of this thread your questions would have been answered, and you may even of had a few suggestions no one had thought of before, probably Ady will answer your questions the best he can.

You will only have to wait like all of us to see the final product, there are many surprises to come according to Adywan, just be a little patient, like every one on this forum we are all ega to see it, if it takes longer than Adywan speculates so be it, If Ady says it might take another 6 months, for one I'll support him all the way and wait.

Also what is wrong with you people asking if your names are in the credits, have a little respect will you, I'm not a big poster myself, but I don't go around asking if my name is in the credits just because I post on here, and to those asking only after a couple of posts are just taking the p***, don't presume!

And now something i really hope someone can help me with. If anyone has Moth3rs PAL ANH transfer could you please post a couple of clips please that i need desperately. The first is the shot of the ships moving away from the death star after Luke launches the torpedo and the second is the death star explosion itself. i have the GOUT but its NTSC and the jaggies are so horrible that using this as a source makes it look awful. Or if anyone can point me in a direction where i could obtain the full Moth3r PAL DVD, but torrents are out because they crawl for me due to ISP limitations. then this would be even better becase there are a few more shots that i could really do with too.

You mean the laser disk transfers?

I could post all three disks (ANH, ESB and ROTJ) to you on Monday, you would get the by Wednesday, PM me your address

I really enjoyed reading the transcript, I wish I had the time join in now. Many of the questions were very well thought through, and very well answered.

And the clip well what can I say, it was amazing, it does make you wonder why the Lucas Team hadn't thought of this with the SE of ANH after so much effort with OT ROTJ Death Star battle and come to think of it the Naboo Space battle from TPM, but I guess it was just done to cash in quick with the new trilogy, but I won't get into that.

Adywan has done and is doing an amazing job with ANH, from the clips I've seen so far, when finished it will defiantly blow some dust around the LucasFilm corridors, if they get to see it. With the rumpus caused by the Phantom Edit when that was released I suspect this edit will surpass the praise that got.

You can put me on the PIF chain when this is finished it will be an honour to spread the word

Though I have had little experience with DL, each time I have tried DL, the recording fails, perhaps its the disks, perhaps it my DVDR but I've tried Sony and Plextor with the same result the burning fails, what I would like to know is what software you lot use for DL I've tried (forgive me) Nero and Elaborate Bytes CloneDVD2, with no result. Just like to know what I'm doing wrong, I'm not going to hijack this thread with my DL problems so if anyone know of a thread please point me to it.

Thanks and before I forget WELL DONE Ady

Yep Chewbacca is too hairy, Han's a cowboy, Vader wears too much black, and the stormtroopers wear too much white.

Can you edit the show so
Chewbacca is clean shaven and wears a suit,
Han as a respected trader,
Change Vader so he's wearing a floral dress and carrying a feather duster,
Add a bit of colour to the Stormtroopers, perhaps some nice pastel shades
Oh and add some vegetation to Tatoonine that place looks so barren and dry

.:. MoveAlong's - The Story of TESB/The Adventures of Luke Skywalker .:. Complete!
Time
Finally received my copy this morning, wasn't sure if I was going to get a copy due to airmail costs, anyhow I really can't thank you enough MoveAlong, this must have cost you a small fortune to send 50 copies out to folk.

I'm going to watch it now, ESB in my opinion is far the best film out of the saga, so this is going to be a joy to watch

Thank you again

Kind regards

Tony

By the way nice disks, adds a really nice finish to them, what brand are they again?
