STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

You can tell they're the same by the way the ship's nose suddenly bends downward mid-explosion. If you watch both scenes from start to finish, the ship gives off a puff of an explosion once, keeps going and looks fine for about 2 frames, and then explodes and goes careening out of control. The placement of the sparks gives it away 100%. Even if they used the same explosion technique, the particulars (such as sparks and ship behavior) would have been different.

Anyway, to avoid going off topic: The new explosion in the asteroid field looks great! The subtle addition of debris and the fact that the bridge doesn't just "vanish" is leaps and bounds of an approvement. I always thought it looked weird to have the bridge just "vanish" like that, especially with no trace of debris or anything. Good job!

Dah, embedding the image in my post is making it look all goofy on my end. If you can't see it, click this link:

But yes, yes it is! It's just flipped horizontally and the colors are played with a bit.

If you look in Return of the Jedi, there's an X-Wing pilot who gets shot down in the tunnel chase on the way to the core. The footage of his X-Wing exploding is recycled from A New Hope, when the "I'm hit!" pilot is shot down. (Of course, this was change a bit in Adywan's version :))

Since I am absolutely insane and had nothing better to do, I went to the Death Star attack and counted the number of Rebel ships that took part in the assault and how many were shot down.

Initial shot in Yavin IV flyby: 30 or 31 (Approx 8 Y-Wings [some are too blurry to see])

Adywan's descent: 28 or 29 by my count (8 Y-Wings)

Number of ships according to Wookieepedia: 32 (22 X-Wing, 8 Y-Wing, 2 "Spearheads" [A-Wing prototype, not shown in film but in one of the games])

Total shot down in combat (Only counted are visible deaths. If the explosion is already taking place when the shot changes, then it doesn't count unless a TIE Fighter can be seen alread firing or flying to suggest it shot down a Rebel craft): 18 (5 are Y-Wings [3 in trench, 2 in dogfight])

Looks like Adywan got the number spot on and didn't exceed the body count in the extended dog fight scenes! 28-32 ships is perfectly reasonable to expect since I always saw the Imperial officer's "We count 30 Rebel ships" as a quick approximation. Most people would subconsciously round to the nearest 5s or 10s number instead of prattling off "We count 28 ships" or "We count 31 ships." It just sounds more natural.

Love the revisit.

I can't find such an option to change the download rate, and it randomly just stops downloading. I had to force it to download the next part after it had apparently been stuck for a good while. I'm sorry but I just simply cannot see the appeal in this program. It's been very buggy all day long and very confusing to operation. This is why I'm so desperate for a torrent of it, but I can't find any dependable websites or torrents that aren't bogus.

Update: Well I just managed to find the option to change the speed and now it's going at a much more reasonable 120 KB/s. I still find the program difficult to use though as it doesn't like to automatically advance to the next file.

I'm sorry but this program is simply awful. The graphics bugged out on me and I had to completely close it and re-open it, and now I can't get it to resume the downloads at all. All it says is Aborted, file already exists on one of them and I have no idea what to do.

Could someone please link me to a torrent of the NTSC DVD?

Great, now it seems to have capped at 10 KB/s.

Ok JDownloader is starting to crap out. It started whining to me about something involving reconnecting and not it won't download anything at all. It's stuck on the 2nd file, stuck with a 5 minute timer that keeps repeating itself over and over, while the other files say Waiting for new IP.

I still wish there was a torrent for this since it's way less hassle it seems. Anyway to make this work?

I've been hunting and hunting for the NTSC DVD .iso of this for several hours and I can't turn up any reliable torrents at all. I thought I had found something on FanEdit but it turned out to be a bogus DLC file, asking me to install some software called JDownloader. I'm normally hesitant to install such software, but I did anyway and that still doesn't work with the file. I really want to watch this!

Also, I'm assuming that the .iso will work normally in Daemon Tools right? I don't have a working DVD drive so I can't burn it.

A dlc file is an easier way of loading many links in one go into jdownloader. It's pretty commonly used nowadays. You say the it won't download in jdownloader. Make sure that your firewall isn't blocking the program first. Here's what to do:

Open jdownloader then got to the top menu and select "links>add links>add container" and import the dlc file. Click on the "linkgrabber" tab & you will see the files. let the program check the links to see if they are all active. Once that is done then click on "continue with all" and it will start the download. It may take some time if you haven't got a premium rapidhsare account but it's still better than torrents

I tried that earlier and it didn't work, but I tried it just now and now it seems to be working. Thanks!
