STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Glorious work thusfar, Adywan! I know that I likely am parroting much of what has already been said, but I really like what we've seen and eagerly await the finished product.

Happy Holidays to you and yours, Adywan, the entire Star Wars Revisited team, and to everyone on the OT.com forums!

(PS: Ady, is the knobby white spider CGI or stop-motion?)

I don't think that a split-screen would be a viable idea for ESB:R. I know that owning a copy of the film being fan-editted is pretty much mandatory for a person looking to own a copy of said fan edit, but I can't help but feel that actually including a copy of the original film with the fan edit, even at a lower resolution, would be a step too far.

Also, get well soon, Adywan!

Bringing up the earlier topic of the sudden blast marks on the AT-AT's side:

Rewatching Adywan's magnificent work on this clip, I noticed that there are actually FOUR blast marks that appear that do not correspond to any snowspeeder laser blasts:

It was kinda difficult to make out the first and third strikes to appear. Maybe further study should be made as to what to do here. The easiest thing would probably be to erase the scorch marks and (maybe) make new ones that correspond to where Luke blasts it.

adywan, I also meant to ask about this shot from the 'chasm' duel scene too - Is it possible to add a momentary effect of 'fabric burning' and brief hint of 'smoking cauterization' to Luke's sleeve/severed wrist here, somewhat like was seen on your ANH:R 'arm'?...

Knowing Adywan, that is one thing that is high on his to-do list, if it hasn't been done already.

Sorry Ady I couldn't resist using your new Footage over my old mock-up:

The Emperor says "luke"......still needs adjusting, but its not too bad as a concept.

Hee-hee~! That sounds really good there. I will honestly be quite surprised if the final ESB:R release does not follow that trend.

...I really need to find that Musical Journey DVD again...

I'm with Bingowings. I think the med droid just said that as he could've have talked about the weather.

To me, that scene always sounded like when, in real life, the doctor fills with some trivial remark that silent moment that almost always happens as the patient finishes dressing up :)

I have personally seen situations like this, having been to the doctor's a couple times the past few months. Acne issues.

Me and the doctor would occasionally switch to casual talk outside of the reason for my visit. I don't remember what, but still...

Just some secondary verification.

There's also the fact that much of the plot of the OT is technologically-driven, namely the Death Stars, and that in general war accelerates technological development.

This is EXACTLY how I see it. The panache and beauty of the galaxy deteriorates as the Empire builds up an invincible war machine. I can only imagine that Coruscant would look quite different from Episode III (read: more militaristic) if it was seen in the later episodes... I mean, apart from the celebration at the end of RotJ.

I would never edit using the original codec of a Blu-ray or DVD as it can cause a lot of problems. I always convert the video to lossless avi using the lagarith codec.

I won't be using any deleted scenes off the blu-ray for ESB:R no matter what scenes it may contain because for one it won't be out in time and secondly i really don't think ESB needs anything added and the SE is a good example of that. ROTJ:R may be a different matter altogether though

Huh. And I was just about to tell you guys that the SW saga is being released on Blu-Ray in fall 2011 (same time frame as Avatar: The Legend of Korra, incidentally), but I see that it's old news now.

I assume you mean scenes like Luke building his lightsaber?

Does it say much about my lack of a life that I found myself dreaming about Revisited last night?

Actually it was more of a nightmare...

Ady had decided that as Empire was the only movie that didn't feature Tatooine, he was going to add a scene set there right at the start of the movie.

It had AT-ATs (thus ruining the impact of their appearance through the binoculars on Hoth)

And they galloped just like in that famous Robot Chicken skit:

What's more. Everyone here seemed to love it.

I woke up screaming.

...ok that part might not be true. Still, pretty scary.

That would be scary.

...the galloping AT-ATs, I mean.

Uniform TIE variations color would be better I'd think. Grey it up! =D

I believe Ady said that the new TIEs introduced from ESB onward will be blue, but the TIE Fighters themselves will remain (or rather, become) gray.

Also, to Ady,

My thoughts are with you and your family. I cannot pretend to know what it's like to lose a mother, but... just know that this project can wait. If you don't feel like working on it, don't worry about it. Real life takes precedent over side projects.

God bless. And godspeed.
