I just made the best Star Wars DVD
I toook the GL DVD set and capture it. I used www.dvdshrink.org two removal macrovision. So I made a backup onto DVD-R then did a video capture of the Star Wars 2004 dvd set. then I used my laserdisc to capture the Han solo seen shooting Gringo. this was a very simple edit by then removed the Jaba seen this was a little hard to do. at the end of this scene there wiped seen. where Luke Skywalker and OBEEONE by talking and OBEEONE says that all be enough. After Luke sells his car. The only problem I have found in editing the capture from the DVD and from laserdisc one reedited some old DVD players will have problems when playing the Han Solo and Gringo seen. on my old Sony DVD player locks up but on my APEX and Pioneer DVD player this DVD plays back with no problems.

Are you trying to combine anamorphic and non-anamorphic video?
MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They're certainly beyond any repair you're capable of making.
MeBeJedi: You aren't one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can't say I find that very disappointing.
JediRandy: I won't suck as much as a fan edit.

That one is more understandable than "Gringo" LOL. Han shoots at Gringo ROTF!!
I wish I had a Kryptonite cross, because then you could keep both Dracula AND Superman away.

"MeBeJedi" no im not trying to combine anamorphic and non-anamorphic video. Im useing widescreen LDs THX face set. I think the freeze has some thing to do with the bitrate. with different footage. I can do another dub with my DVD recorder that can fix the problem. I have try clonedvd and dvdshrink to see if a transcoder would fix the bitrate problem no good. I think a encoder would but i might lose my Closed Caption subtitles as well.

True, but you are also using the official DVDs, and those are anamorphic.

That depends - is there a setting to switch between recording in anamorphic and non-anamorphic mode? I don't know what your player is, so I couldn't tell you if anamorphic recordings are possible or not.
Otherwise, if you are simply joining MPEGs from the DVDs and the LDs, the jump in bitrates could conceivably cause a problem with older players. You should talk to Rikter about how he measures bit-rates. I know he does that with all the versions he's watched.

What exactly did you change back to original version, and are you planning anything for Eps V and VI?
And to what point does the quality loss go? Is it fairly close the original sources?

Nah he didn't change it back to the original version, he's apparently made the best version (don't be fooled, the theatrical print grovels at this all new sparkly fresh version)

What has 'theology' ever said that is of the smallest use to anybody? When has 'theology' ever said anything that is demonstrably true and is not obvious? What makes you think that 'theology' is a subject at all? - Richard Dawkins
