I don't believe itWe want to gauge user opinion for the future of originaltrilogy.com and fanedits.com - which aspects do you think are a priority for development?
Please click the link below and complete the survey. It shouldn't take you longer than 5 minutes.
Thanks!

Classical LiberalThe first two questions don't have a suitable answer for me. I found the website by typing "original trilogy" into Google. I joined the forums to discuss and get news/details about "GOUT." I stayed because I'm interested in discussing things with the various people here.

well-respected forum member despite his signature.Well, I'd agree with tiptup. Sortof. I came for fanedits (I don't remember HOW I found it in the first place), but I stayed for a good community with fellow star wars fans.
I'd stay star-wars focused. A new petition, even?

Imagination PrincessHmm, I can't get any of the clickables to work.
Once again, my combination of Windows 98 and IE6=FAIL.
I also don't quite fit the mold for the first question, though. I was going to settle for trying to find Star Wars laserdisc preservation as that almost immediately became a goal after I found this place, but I actually ran into this site through my research of the (then) upcoming 2004 boxset.

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don't exist... then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks... and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming... Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Happy New Year. Meow.I found this site when I signed the original petition (in '04 ???), but I didn't start posting in the forums until the GOUT was announced in '06.
There were some bugs in some of the questions (one of the questions I couldn't skip, even though it was non applicable. It was also a multi-part question and you had to enter a different value for each part or it wouldn't accept the answers), but I answered the best I could anyway.
I would have liked a question about the forum's new quoting function, which I HATE! LOL!

well-respected forum member despite his signature.Yes... I agree with Miel. The old one was UNGODLY easier. That's about the only thing about the new system I don't like... well, except for tab not shifiting focus from the text editor to "post reply". My laziness is lo longer applicable here :(

Happy New Year. Meow.A new petition is long overdue, I think, and I'm glad that the poll results reflect that.

'Blu, not Blue!' campaign supporter - the struggle continues...Interesting results. It was just a little thing, but I'd really like to see the individual pages on each thread re-instated, as a quicker way of referring back to previous posts/ideas, especially on some of the very long threads.
A new petition to Lucasfilm sounds good at this point.

OT's bucketbotPretty interesting results. I wish I hadn't missed participating.
The one thing I wish Jay would fix about this site is the irritating double spacing! I write out my address for someone and it takes the equivalent of nine lines! :p I don't understand why it's set up this way. Just a small thing, but pretty weird.

EmperorThe editor works like a modern word processor, which creates paragraph spacing when you hit return/enter. There isn't actually an extra line, it's just the space between paragraphs.
To do a simple line break, hold the Shift key when pressing enter.

Padawan LearnerWhy are you surprised that the least number of people get their stuff through UseNet? Most people would choose something free over something that isn't, regardless of the speed at which it works.

I don't believe itTrue I suppose; luckily my ISP, like many others, gives me free access to binary groups (albeit with limited retention) as part of my internet service.
