Jedi KnightWhat about how former fans of Lucash were furious when he wore a Han Shot first shirt mocking them when making that non existent apocryphal indiana smith film.

"friggin midgit devil teddy bear"See, maybe, just maybe, I am right and wearing that shirt was a hint that he is really on our side, but has to continue his facade to make his ultimate point which will eventually result in a law that protects the tampering with of our cultural heritage.

Padawan LearnerI think Lucas wore that shirt to look "cool" to fans and haters alike. He seems to have a good sense of humor about such things.
His opinion on the OT, besides completly ignoring it past 1997, is that he already released them untouched as bonuses and the discs didn't sell. So in his own world it proves his point that the vast majority don't care.

The problem is that he cannot ever heed his own character's advice and let go!

Padawan LearnerI don't even think he gave that shirt a single thought. He always wears the stuff from the company, there must be stacks of everything they put out lying around.

TV's Frink got me into the dark side of the force! So I went google-fu and, found a tweet.

@KRLgrrl Hey Katie, has your dad ever expressed to you why he persists on the Greedo-Han controversy even though he knows fans hate it?KRLgrrl tweeted:

@James_Faupel well Han never shot first. He doesn't persist on anything, its the fans that insist on keeping the debate alive.

Imagination PrincessThat makes me wonder? Do Lucas's kids choose to be as delusional as they are towards the subject (in order to understandably defend their father), or has George been so staunch in his views brainwashing that they honestly do not know any better? I mean, as far as I can tell, only Amanda was alive during the filming of any of the OT (just a baby during ROTJ), so they could easily just believe everything he tells them and seriously believe that Han never shot first... I'm not entirely sure how THAT one would get by them, but still...

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming... Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Jedi KnightI'm not sure if Lucas' kids really know the OT before the SE. Lucas said he wanted to wait until 1997 to show his son the films so he could experience them on the big screen; his son was born in 1989 or something like that, and I'm pretty sure Katie was in 1987, which is pretty close in age. So, it's perfectly possible that she has never actually seen the original and was introduced to it with her brother in 1997.

I think they are just going to defend their dad on anything, despite whether it is factual or not. One on hand, I can totally understand their loyalty to their dad, because it is their dad! I am just suprised that she is getting into the mudslinging on the internet with the fans, and is that in-tune to what the SW fan-boys have problems with.
I figured the Lucas family would be living in a bubble and wouldn't really get 'into it' with the fans. But she seems to be defending her father (which is fine), but then baiting the fans ('The Complainers will complain, and then they will buy it") There was no need for that comment, because in a sense you are stooping down to the level of the same people you despise.
Which makes perfect sense now of why we got the GOUT.

But he has a Citizen Kane like estate Skywalker Ranch, lol. Which i think is hilarious.

Everyone has a right to some privacy, no matter how famous they are. And there's a darker reason to keep random people out of your front yard or driveway. Remember that lunatic who wanted to do very bad things to Steven Spielberg and his family in the late 90's? Celebrity stalkers are a very real problem.

Note: I am not going to argue with ANYONE about the prequels today, on MAY THE 4TH I MIGHT ADD, or on any other day for that matter. The prequels have been made. They exist. There is literally nothing you can do or say to make them go away. They may not be your cup of tea, but let's remember: YOU can choose not to watch them! You can pretend like they don't even exist! But being angry about it forever is going to accomplish nothing. Neither is being disrespectful. My father has done absolutely nothing to earn disrespectful tirades and personal attacks. He is a good man. He is not an evil genius plotting to ruin your life. You are entitled to your own opinions--whatever they may be, but be respectful about it. He may have made three movies you personally didn't care about, but he was also responsible for three movies that inspired you and millions of others. So, do him and I the courtesy of having a little goddamn respect.

@KRLgrrl If a story's arc changes you have a different story. Therefore the OT is no longer the movies that fans appreciated in the 70/80shttp://twitter.com/#!/KRLgrrl/status/65944756475277312
@kintakas then don't watch the prequels! you have the choice!

No Katie, we don't have the choice since Hayden is on episode 6 now. This makes few sens if we did not watch the prequels, so we don't have the choice. That's the whole point.
