In my opinion you are just you.

You can over-react a bit at times and get unnecessarily furious, sometimes you find other people's beliefs and opinions easier to attack than consider.

But as that's lots of people on here you shouldn't worry about it too much.

I don't know whether you do or not, but it is good to not confuse respect, agreement, and fondness. I accept that I don't know the real Warbler. The hope is that anyone would honestly consider what another person is saying, even if that person is not deemed respected.

But there is a difference between deciding that what is being said isn't for you and getting into a passive aggressive tissy and wishing death and damnation on someone on the one hand and crimping off inches of "whatever" and "*sigh*" on the other.

If what someone is saying worthy of you dismissing it just dismiss it, say nothing, ignore it.

You have no idea what I ignore Warb.

But I don't ignore the casual way you through such lines into a conversation.

It's not nice to throw phrases like that at random strangers you know nothing about.

Even if you don't mean it (and I can't believe you do) it feeds the sort of impressions that lead to you making a thread like this.

Incidentally why start a whole thread asking about how other people see yourself if you have already made up your mind which reactions to listen to?

I imagine you as an okay guy but you project an unflattering image of yourself which you seem to worry about.

If it worries you try projecting an image of yourself which is closer to how YOU see YOU.

Maybe they were posting a load of bollocks because they were seriously ill or clinically depressed and they read you saying "Fuck Off and die" (as a Joke).

When other people read you type that it makes an impression (possibly 100% false).

This isn't the FOAD or nor FOAD thread but you asked generally about the impression some people (not all I underline) have of you.

Incendiary language comes in grades and that comment pretty high up there to be throwing it around.

It debases the currency a bit to use such terms liberally.

You could say something like "Sorry don't agree" or "I think that's unfair" or "that wasn't very nice" and create a different effect.

But the choice is yours it has to come from you.

If you really want to say "Fuck Off And Die" then say "Fuck Off And Die" and don't be surprised if people think of you as the FOAD guy and call you a brat.

Leonardo is now the "called Warb a brat" guy and has expressed a degree of regret which suggests it doesn't sit with how he sees himself.

I prefer you as the *sigh* guy that's for sure.

That's the thing, then, don't get so worked up about things that are said on a screen. Even if they are important to you. Sometimes I read things that don't sit well with me, and I just stay quiet. I could get into a rant about this and that, but I don't. It's the old saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all". It's also less time consuming.

Otherwise people get an image of "guy with a short fuse". And that's not a good image.

Of course. It's one of those occasions where I overstep my bounds, and I realize I have done so, and made and ass of myself and I try and fix it.
