RE: Youtube finds

This is not youtube, but actually a cute little video on the importance of stranger safety.  It's a little goofy because the narrator dude is weird, but overall it's a worthwhile video.

The ROTJ collaborative thread is a wealth of ideas, both on how to edit Return of the Jedi, as well as how to collaborate in an edit.  Emanswfan has taken leadership of the project.

A very rough edit of how the Battle of Endor could go
A very rough idea of how ROTJ could end

Rough edit based on the final script with some deviation:

You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.

I think it's pretty sad that this video is so honest and that I know what they are talking about.

^I really like that one.  I always wanted to see a splitscreen comparison of the two versions.

RE: Youtube finds

greenpenguino I remember seeing one that synced up the "Where we're going we don't need roads." line better. Though I forget at the moment what it was titled. Furthermore I know of another timeline comparison video that should be of interest. The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance Revisited originally posted on Google video in 2005. It's a 15 minute video which splitscreens the events of the two respective movies in a way to show a difference of each sequence side by side.

When it started bubbling, I thought, "It would be insane if a monster head grew out of that thing" and then a monster head grew out of that thing.

That is genuinely one of the craziest things I've ever seen on the internet.
