Your take on the conclusion of Fate of the Jedi series ? (spoilers)

I Recently finished Apocalypse and I really liked the series but one thing bugs me alot, isn´t there too little time space between the ABY/Skywalker era and Legacy? I havent read Legacy but i've read everything before that, so whats your take on Darth Krayt's apperance in the book and what do you think will happen now?

Sorry if this topic has been posted before, i'm new so give me a chance!

How did it end?

It ended with Luke and Krayt destroying one avatar of Abeloth, as well as saba, tehiri, ben and vestara defeating two, but luke was critically injured and met the "dark man" described in LOTF series now known as darth krayt.

Anything taking place during the NJO & Legacy eras = not canon in my personal SW universe and not worth reading

My Heather Langenkamp avatar has decided to go on an extended vacation and may not be back for sometime. Not to worry, though, for she will be back - eventually.

Interesting. I don't know who/what Abeloth is, but I know who Krayt is. Since the title of this series is Fate of the Jedi, it would be the perfect time to kill off Luke, they've gotta do it sometime, as you said, their running out of time!

And if Krayt is the guy to make Luke become one with the Force, then that makes things rather poetic, given that Anakin had major issues with him in the Clone Wars and Cade ended up being the guy to kill him once and for all.

On the upswing of all of this, maybe if they kill Luke, the books won't focus on the OT characters as much, as they seem to be as drawn out character wise as much as they possibly could! We could have a new cast of fellows to follow!

Ah, the day when the EU gets rebooted ... I can almost feel the tears of joy flowing down my face.

I havent read alot from the Clone Wars era but I intend to do it, also i guess i have to check out the legacy era as well since its all starting to stir into the same soup. I personally think Luke is getting to old for this but I also dont want him to die! so I think the EU ABY era is getting a litte to tight.

That is indeed part of why many of us don't bother.

The current EU is alot like current DC & Marvel comics: full of flash, devoid of substance, with zero respect paid to the histories or characters that are willingly butchered by the hacks who write for them.

Time and effort would be better spent on books worth the paper they're printed on.
