I remember seeing this as a little kid. It was traumatizing.

I seriously hope I will live enough to see the original Star Wars trilogy in this quality
You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.

The answer to that is simple.

My REAL favorite issue of National Geographic is the February 1985 issue.

Here's another picture of the mummified child, just in case you were more curious:

One more, a close up of the face:

Reading over it, it's a very interesting article, and I highly recommend checking it out, if you can find it...

RE: Your favorite movies

The older I get, the more I think I'm turning to the tastes I had when I was a kid.

I used to be a big Michael Jackson fan, but I "grew out of that" as a teenager.  But I seem to be getting back into it.

I almost grew out of Star Wars several times too...  but look at me now!

And for some reason, I think I really underestimated how much I loved/love Back to the Future.  I've had them on DVD for years, but not really watched them.  As I've been saying, I've just watched the trilogy with my son and have found that I've been missing out on revisiting this trilogy for years.

How did I forget I loved these movies so much?

Well... I'm off to build a hoverboard.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!

RE: Your favorite movies

Hah! Finally figured out an easy way to make a list. I went through my mubi.com favorites (400 strong) and whittled it down from there.

For any interested here's my list. It's pretty much everything I could think of, and I had to cut out a lot of the great films to just leave the stuff I really adore. It's done by release year not preference.
