YV12 and IVTC

Wouldn't IVTC'ing a 3:2-pulldown'd source captured in YV12 mess up the chroma of the C frame?

(By C I mean: [A|B|C|D](24p) -> [AA|BB|BC|CD|DD](60i).)

I'm assuming that this would, of course, apply to captures done using a DVD Recorder, right?
