Dosen't make sense at all, because the PM services here at this forum are web-based, therefore uses the HTTP port (80), at most the SSL 443 port, or 8080 I don't know, but I don't think there's a security socket layer for these messages... So if you can see this forum you should be able to send PM messages as well. Perhaps your net has url-based filters? Could be the most logical explanation.\
By the way, changing subject drastically, I managed to make yet another pizza with the pizza stone, and this time it worked. I followed every single instruction on the box literally, and what the heck, it worked. I'm sure it would taste no different if I had used any other thing, but what the heck, at least I've used my pizza stone successfully. Took me months to find the God damn thing might as well use it, right?

All I know is I can't send PMs, can't post pictures, can't use emoticons or do anything else 'creative' to my posts like bold, italic etc, and I can't see the banner ads either. Luckily I can at least post but that's pretty much the extent of my OT capabilities.

That makes no sense whatsoever. What happens when you click on the "picture" button? What if you use the bold and italic tags insetad of clicking on the buttons above the message text box? I belive the problem might be in your browser, being unable to open javascript or pop-up windows.

When I click on the picture button, nothing happens. The same when I hit 'reply' to a PM - nothing. It may well be my browser, but I can't do anything on this bloody work computer. I can't even change the screensaver. I'm surprised they let us change our own wallpaper.

So I suppose it's the browser itself, some features such as javascript and pop-up windows are disabled. I could help you enabling them or finding a solution for this, but I rather not, it could get you in trouble or something... You could go to your boss and tell him/her your productivity is decreasing since you cannot access originaltrilogy forum's full features. Explain how cool this website is and convince your boss to sign the petition. You'll either get what you want or lose your job in a hilarious way.

If you give me some suggestions as to how to enable them I will give it a go - I don't really care if I get in trouble because I'm such a badass 
, I just can't be bothered asking the I.T guys because they're dicks. But be warned, pretty much everything is locked out. When I go to internet options I can only access the general tab.

The easiest way out would be installing FireFox, that could do the trick. Claim that FireFox is more efficient and less likely to transmit virus to the network since it's safer, not a bug-filled crap like IE. If you boss disagrees and force you to use IE, tell him you were just waiting for a lame excuse like that to go postal and wash that office's sin with blood. That should do the trick

What version did you ask about? I wonder because I tried to install Shit 1.4 but the office system was already way beyond that version. I checked the website and found Shit 2.1 had been released and that one worked well here. Its a constant battle to keep up with the Shit in my office!

I found that Crap 1.01 is much better than Shit 2.1, but it had some conflict with our PieceOfJunk hardware.

He is going to make a speech a few meters from where I am right now. I don't think I'll be able to SEE him, but if I do, I might ask for an autograph. I was also thinking of pulling a prank like pulling his pants to his ankles, but I don't wanna get fired.
I don;t have a punch card really, it's all done digitally, but I do print out my hours so I can keep a paper copy, I think it's safe to, specially when you work as a consultant as I do. So I would ask him to sign those.
I did have to work with a punch card on this other company I used to work. A 1950s style punch card thing.

Well, it seems that ligtning ran in on this computer and screwed up the mother board. None of the USB ports or the ethernet ports are working, and the comptuer is running in a very unstable manner. The hard drive seems alright though. I hope it can be salvaged.
