I agree with you, Frink. As everyone knows, I've been working on a minimalist, coming-of-age, one-act play called Savannah, a tale of a young woman's conflict between her love of her native Georgia and her strong dislike of some of the antiquated beliefs of its people. Here's a portion of the play which shows how YESTERDAY WAS A LIE featuring PETER MAYHEW coming soon to DVD! has seeped into my writer's voice:

SAVANNAH: It's in me, Drake. This place, this land, the air, the hills, the clay - it's in my name, Drake. And wherever I go, people can see it. I can leave Savannah, but it will never leave me.

DRAKE: You say that like it's a bad thing.

SAVANNAH: If I leave here - if I go to Los Angeles and follow my dream, they won't see the fire in my eyes. They won't see that I'm a woman of passions, a woman who cares. All they'll see is the shameful past, the stain that marrs our yesterday.

DRAKE: Savannah, YESTERDAY WAS A LIE featuring PETER MAYHEW coming soon to DVD!

And you're probably thinking, "Why not just stop at 'Yesterday was a lie'?" I mean, sure, I could do that - but that's tantamount to saying, "I don't know the first thing about quality writing, like they do at YESTERDAY WAS A LIE featuring PETER MAYHEW coming soon to DVD!"

So, no. The line stays just as it is.
