Your powers are weak...List of changes in Star Wars re-releases
I've been looking at the page above, and, particularly in the Special Edition sections, there seem to be some errors, so I thought I'd post them here to see if anyone can put either me, or the article, right:
New aliens are seen in the Cantina, and the Cantina music is played at a higher pitch and tempo.
When Lando contacts Lobot, it is done silently rather than Lando sending a codeword.
More debris has been digitally added to the scene at the destroyed Jawa sandcrawler.
The dialogue spoken by Jabba the Hutt in the scene where he is discussing the price for Chewbacca that had the subtitles added in the 1997 Special Edition has the subtitles removed, making C-3PO's verbal translations in the scene relevant again.

Has someone just compared a PAL edition and an NTSC edition?
Exactly my thoughts as well, I've only listened to the '04 re-mix once, so I'm not sure about this one, but everything is possible in that horrible re-mix of course.

What codeword?
And, possibly missing from the ROTJ section, doesn't the skiff that Han gets thrown from now rotate as well as tip, in the SE?
No idea what they're talking about. If they mean the audio signal from his "watch", it was still there in '04 IIRC.
Don't know about the skiff, I have to check.

I looked for this months ago and could see no difference - am I missing something?
There's no alteration to that scene at all. Not what I can see.

Were these ever really added to the SE? It's not mentioned in the SE section.

Interesting, in the '97 SE home video releases, that scene is subtitled in the same way as the original film, so I guess this is simply wrong, if it wasn't different on the actual '97 theatrical prints, which I really doubt.
We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

is automatic for the people.Good luck on trying to fix it. I tried in vain for weeks to get a legit difference listed there, but the mobocracy behind the page kept removing my work.

Padawan LearnerThe people who are allowed to edit wiki are bunch of idiots. You can fix their errors, but it gets reverted immediately

A victim of Lucasfilm's desire to give every freaking background character a backstory.Ooooh, the Wikipedia page that led me here to the OT. :)
The bit's you point out have been added since the last time I visited that page. Most of these alterations weren't there back in November so someone has added them at sometime over the last couple of months.
Also, the discussion page has been deleted sometime over the last year. At one point there was some debate over mentioning Adywan's ANH:R in the article.
These errors are one of the reasons why you should never trust the Wiki at face value.

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityI've never added anything to Wikipedia, at least nothing that stuck around for long. Depressing, as my Complete Comparison would probably be a great asset for them.

Better Grumpy than DopeyI noticed the other day that most of the Wikipedia entire article has been "blanked" because it was not reliably sourced. I don't know if anyone here would be interested in adding back the changes with citations from reliable sources?

A victim of Lucasfilm's desire to give every freaking background character a backstory. After reading the the discussion page for the article I say it's not worth it. AndyTheGrump (a nickname he chose, not me) seems pretty determined to remove the article - reliably sourced or not - and says it has no place on Wikipedia.

That list had tons of errors. There were lots of made-up changes and lots of omissions. Deleting it is for the best.

Couple weeks back the page was reverted to an older appearance and has remained that way. One of the main individuals responsible for the clamping down has retired from wikipedia. But with today being a SW day, the page will probably get some scrutiny. If you like watching edit wars could be a good day for you.

I constantly try and edit the Wikipedia page of the original film to read "Star Wars" and not the horrible revisionist title it has now...they always go back to "Episode IV...". Ugh.
-Someone, someday, needs to bring back the LIGHT SIDE to Star Wars. Has anyone else noticed striking similarites between the character of Anakin/Vader and George Lucas, or is it just me?
-It's called STAR WARS. NOT "Episode IV: A New Hope". Kids, get this straight.
