Yes, you are right, IIRC you wrote it into another thread in this forum... oh, well, I'm really getting older every day... too much older, indeed... I should add some TB to my brain, or simply change the CMOS battery...

@SilverWook - Yes, I have the Animal House combo disc and Amazon has it listed still for under $5...

@DJ - That would be great if you just slapped Streets of Fire onto BD, no extras or Team Blu time involved... just a basic transfer of the film. There are many fans out there who never jumped on HD-DVD and they are still waiting for a Blu-ray. By the way Deej, Thanks for everything you have done. I really, really appreciate all your work here. Conan is awesome and these projects just keep things alive around here. Couldn't ask for better craftsmanship.

The first 2 Mummy movies (w/ Brenden Frasier) have some added DNR and EE on Bluray. Band of Brothers also has some slight DNR added for the Bluray.

Slayer of DeaditesWhich HD-DVD is better than Blu-Ray?
The Thing, Army of Darkness, Terminator 2, and the Sting (especially!) are all better on the HD-DVD and I've got access to rips if anyone wants a preservation. Dragonheart and Apollo 13 seem to have already been mentioned.

Hey no problem flex, really glad you like what we have been doing, and you know what I figured since I am done seeding and uploading I would grab my HD-DVD of SoF and rip it and create the BD, well guess what, I looked in my stack and I already did lol, movie only, chapters taken form HD-DVD and the audio is Dolby Digital Plus 5.1, and it only weighs in at 12.3 GB's, way smaller then Conan lol.
Midnight Run is also done and a really good movie that is not on Blu, and this version of Slither looks great! much better then the 1080i Canadian release.
Thanks again for the kind words.

I really need to watch Cat People one of these days. Haven't seen it since the 80's. Bonus points if you know where the panther statues from the zoo cages set ended up. ;)

I agree with dvdmike , there was i believe a a French release of all 3 versions of Army of Darkness and 2 of the cuts (International and director's cut) looks awesome. The US theatrical how ever is the same as the other blu-ray releases.

I really really want to see the US cut look like this new transfer from France. I wish the French international had 5.1 audio

They are per pixel identical (FR/GER) http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/32741
It has the TV cut in SD as the fourth cut and a nice box

Yep the UK release of Silent Hill is excellent.
Ok that makes sense that AOD is the same for FR/Ger. Same pack but with like you said sd tv cut and different box.

Slayer of DeaditesI have the French AOD thanks to the recommendation of someone on the board. May have been you dvdmike... I've forgotten. Thank you if so.
Anyway, I was referring to the fact that the HD-DVD is superior to all versions of the AOD US Theatrical Cut out there— though all look terrible— (best of the worst as all are pretty bad). It also has the line not present in some BDs, "So I left her there," by Ash. Of course, the transfers of the International Cut and the Director's Cut blow the HD-DVD out of the water, as its just a different master.
FYI, for anyone concerned about AOD, the color timing of the HD International Cut and Director's Cut are more theatrically-accurate. Saw a print from the 90's projected and it looked very similar.

It appears so in that shot but in this one the whites are brighter but the detail seems to have been fully retained:
