yavasizadooI think I might have that too- was that a poster book?
Books and posters were my favorite SW-related items back then.

Jedi KnightI saw the 1985 screening does that count?
I guess that was the 2 year anniversary release, lol.
As for the 30th No i cannot celebrate with the current BD its shit, Hayden And NOOO! And the Gout DVD even upscaled is no replacement for seeing it in 35mm. A Good BD of the 1983 version would be nice but Disney have not put one out and probably won't.

Ce n'est pas DuracellEnergizerAh, 1983 ... I was a Saudi Arabian falafel vendor back then, before I died from choking on a slice of manakish and was reincarnated in my present body. I never got to see ROTJ, though I did get to see Turkish Star Wars at a screening at a travelling sideshow.
God doesn't think in terms of black or white - or even shades of gray - but in big, bright, bold hues of blue and orange.

fought in the battle of "macho grande'"was just finishing up 5th grade and saw ROTJ a week after it came out. I recall seeing the trailer on a saturday night while watching SNL with a sleepover buddy. I ran into the living room to tell my dad and he said we'd catch it next weekend. me my dad and another buddy went and caught ROTJ at a mall theater. great day, great memory!

A certain point of viewI never saw it back then. My nephew went to see it and got the soundtrack which made me interested. The pictures on the sleeve and the included poster were exciting. Then I just got hints of footage until about a year later when saw ANH for the first time when it was broadcast on Swedish TV. And mind you, we had a black and white TV set. Then I got stuck ;) I only got to see the originals on the VHS releases during the 80's.
