Beside the already interested main cast from the original films (& prequel films.....??) for the new trilogy, what actors/actresses would you like involved in the new films? spin-offs included.
I think Dennis Lawson (Wedge) could make a return, possibly now an Admiral in the New Republic.
Jeff Bridges would be great as an old friend/rival of Han Solo

Better a bad bomb than a bombadThe only character I'd care to see back is Luke.
I think there's something very Star-Warsy in Kevin McKidd
He can be rougish, evil, or noble.

Magister Pontifex MaximusHarry Dean would look great painted purple.

It would be fun to have Sissy Spacek

and Koo Stark

in a Star Wars film at last.
Leads wise.
Saoirse Ronan would make an interesting female protagonist.

Jedi KnightIf Mark Hamill is not in it i won't even bother seeing it. And yeah i understand he is about 20 years too old for a 40 year old Luke Skywalker.
These damn films should have been fast tracked for production in 1993, but no we had to have those badly made video game commercials with Jar Jar Binks and Hayden.

Magister Pontifex MaximusIn my opinion these films should have started going into production in 1983.
But ROTJ was so awful that maybe a break between it and the next one would have been a good idea.
Personally I would like the bulk of the characters to be completely new and played by virtual unknowns with as many of the original actors as available playing Greek Choruscant.
Artoo and Threepio should be the only major OT players.

StarkillerI'd love to see Chloe Moretz as Han and Leia's daughter. She could easily pull-off the swagger of Han and the strength of Leia. Also, Kick-Ass proved that she has great physicality.

Jedi KnightI would like to see Russel Crowe, Mel Gibson, and Arnold as the villains. Then everybody would go to see it.

See You, Space Cowboy...Not that this is allowed to happen in blockbusters anymore but I can't be the only person who wants unknowns / TV actors with one or two well-established faces as the big bads can I?

Crowe and Gibson are just too silly.
Arnold has already been in a Star Wars film :

I think Rufus Sewell has a great persona for a space opera, either a good guy or a bad.

I always thought that Robert Powell looked a bit like Peter Cushing:

......but he's now 68.....Peter Cushing was 64 when he did Star Wars

I'm with Bingo on Harry Dean. I'd love to see him as a old mentor/father figure to Han Solo.

I don't get the love for that guy. He's the most annoying fucking twat on screen.
Watch him in Gone in 60 seconds, man, he can't play a bad guy for shit. With his grating bloody accent and that fucking stupid smile. As for his Dr Who, thank fuck he left when he did.
