Padawan LearnerI wish you would bring back editing where I can use tags. It is more powerful.
With the WYSIWYG editor (current), it is not possible to break up quotes into segments to address individual points in the parent post one by one. I have to quote it in its entirety and then write a large block - which becomes confusing, or post multiple messages.
Sometimes, you want to quote multiple people at once also.
It is also difficult to move the cursor above a quote, in case you wanted to write something that isn't a direct reply to a previous post, but also reply to a specific reply later in the same message.

EmperorYou can still use tags. They haven't been disabled.
Also, if you want to break up a large quote into several smaller quotes using the editor, simply place your cursor at the break point and click the quote button at the top of the editor. It will split the quote and allow you to type normal text.
The next software update will likely contain a user setting that allows you to disable WYSIWYG.
I'm working on an option for multiple quotes also. You can still use the traditional copy/paste method of quoting multiple people. Not ideal, but people did it for years before vBulletin introduced multiquote :)

Actually, it's possible.....try putting 3 small paragraphs into the posting box. If you add about 3-4 lines in between the paragraphs, you can highlight and quote the middle section, though you may have to go back and erase a few extra lines.
But yeah, the quote function sucks, and [blockquote] apparently doesn't work. :(

[quote] does, just as it always has.
