These Amazing Shadows documentary

So....supposedly this has OT clips in HD:

"There is a documentary on Netflix called "These Amazing Shadows". The doc is all about the Library of Congress and the National Film Registry. They spend a fair bit of time on Star Wars...and all the footage is from the original release version. They show the original Death Star explosion, for instance. That seems to bolster the idea that they have the 1977 version in the vaults, not the Special Edition."


Anyone checked this out??

I've just watched the 1080i version this. Unfortunately most of the footage was taken from the 2004 versions, with the couple of clips from the unaltered version being taken from the GOUT. Very disappointing.

Blu Ray supports video at 720x480@29.97i natively, so no, I don't think upscaling would happen even if it were released on Blu Ray.

He probably watched the Itunes/Amazon version, I would think.
