^^ It is not available anymore at mediafire. At least not on an account of mine. I don't have account there anymore. The AVI version can be found at fanedit.info under the form of a .dlc ( filled with rapidshare links)

The DVD version of this fanedit is now available again on NTSC DVD5 on newsgroups (usenet).
This is the "version 2": the same as the AVI version already available.
Other than the correction of some typos on the credits and R2's subtitles, the DVD version also have a German subtitles option (Thanks to originaltrilogy.com member Serling1979.)
And the encoding bitrate of the video is also a little bit higher than on the first DVD version.
Thank you very much. :)

Magister Pontifex MaximusJust finished seeing this.
Lots of laughs.
It does drag a bit.
If you decide to return to it and tweak it some more one thing you could do is when Lando is pushing his little button thing it could destroy the landing pad and Slave One allowing our heroes to kill Fett and rescue Han without having to go to Tatooine.
He could be revived on the medical ship.
The fleet could then jump straight into the battle (no need for the briefing).
Luke could forewarned by his dream not bother rescuing his pals at all which makes him seem a bit of jerk.
Yoda could go to Endor to help the ewoks (by swapping the ee and the wook around he could make out he has good relations with them) so Yoda is flown to Endor by Luke where he surrenders himself to Vader for his final confrontation as advised by Yoda.
Don't show Palpatine's ghost on the Death Star just have Luke kill Vader.
When Luke has turned to the darkside the Yoda versus Palpatine fight could be remixed to be a Yoda vs Luke fight which Luke wins (by doing Vader's red eye).
At the victory party he could be visited by the ghosts of Palpatine, Yoda and Ben.
Loved it as it is though.

Thanks for watching the edit and for your ideas Bingo.
Although that I feel that making those changes would not just be "tweaking" the edit but it would be removing some parts that I like and it would be a totaly new edit towards the end. Something that I'm not willing to do.
Plus after all those Star Wars edits i've done, I think i'm "done" with Star Wars as a faneditor. (unless Lucas finaly allows the making of a live TV series, maybe)

A certain point of viewI had myself a War of the Stars afternoon/evening here today and I'm not good with details due to the lateness of the hour. So all I can say is: Great job on both of them! Good luck with whatever you're up to next :D

negative1got around to watching this recently..
it's a very good edit.
but i still like the first one a lot more.
this one seems more serious, and even though
it includes a lot more deleted footage. it's very
uneven. the prequel scenes and SE look too clean, and
stick out...if all the footage was a little rougher
it wouldn't have been as uneven. our 35mm raw
version (and the pink one) would be great in
using that footage to replace all yours (someday).
also there was a bit of return of jedi stuck in there at the end.
i think if this was split back into 2 parts, and spread
out (actually i might split it up myself), it wouldn't
have felt too long for me... the edits were pretty
creative, and the way some of the characters were
dealt with seemed good, but overall, you were locked
into a pretty fixed story, so you had to do what you
could.
i wish there were more clips from other movies,
and more over the top explosions, shootings, blood etc.
to make it more of a grindhouse version.
well, you're done with star wars series now, but who
knows? maybe you'll do something with the prequels
like this. i liked all your projects with the dusty, b+w versions
too..

So how do you really get hold of this? Why not torrents, they actually work. I've spent longer trying to get hold of this film than it would take to watch it.

Sorry, I had formed the impression that fan editors wanted their films watched. I'm not installing software just to download one movie , when apparently it's supposed to be kept from people. If you don't want me to see it fine. It's just a movie. Moving on...

Also, the editor of this particular film has yet to chime in, so what the hell are you even talking about?

^ Everything has been said about the how and where to get this fanedit... but:
Reminder: the Xvid (rapidshare) and the DVD (usenet) are at fanedit.info under the "tmbtm" folder.
For those who really want torrents, I think I've seen some around the net but I don't know the quality of those as they are not shared by myself (plus I already shared a "version 1" of this edit, with some typos on credits and subtitles, so those torrents could be that first version) and your never sure enough seeders are still alive with torrents.
Hosts like rapidshare and now usenet are a "safe" way to keep fanedits available.
(And: getting what you want is not always easy. But in this case it's rather simple.)

I sent a pm to TMBTM, I've searched usenet and for some reason every time I've downloaded it the files are broken.
I'm not asking for a public link, but if someone could help me, please pm me.
I'd love to watch this edit!

Likes Lens FlairsAh, that's a new RS thing that screws free uploaders (as much as such a thing is possible for something that is free). I'll PM The Mask over on FE.org and see if he's willing to upload to a different file locker.

Don't know why the usenet version would not work. I'll try it again tomorrow to be sure.
The rapidshare AVI (xvid) version at rapidshare should work, I tried the links recently if I remember well.
I did not upload the DVD version at rapidshare and I did not try to download it, so I can't tell you. But yeah, rapidshare have now a 1G of download traffic for account without "rapidpro". If the guy who uploaded the DVD reactualize his rapidpro it should work again, I think...

Rapidshare also turned most of folders to "private" recently... they need to be turned to "public" again for people to download from those folders.
