I used to build SW kits all the time. AMT/ERTL ships and 1:6 scale vinyl figures. Wish I had some photos of them. I'll have to take some next time I visit my parents and can dig them out.

I (Like the rest of you) was pretty excited to see the recent photos of what Adywan is up to with his Hoth hanger model. So I thought, I bet some of you must have pictures of projects you've done that look equally impressive.

Don't be shy. This is the place to post them and then brag about your amazing scratchbuilt blaster, modified 1:4 scale Boba Fett or Jabba's Palace diorama!

PLEASE POST PICTURES (Not just links)

Here is a few random ones from around the interweb...

^ I started something like this but never finished

^ Who hasn't built this badboy

^ Almost exactly like a 1:6 BattleDroid I modified with custom blaster

Are those plaster-mould figures still popular?

Come on! These things were the Shiznit back in the day... ;-)

...and no those aren't novelty Condoms and that's not a bag of Smack you sick b*stards! We thought nothing of giving these to kids for Xmas back in the '80s!

Here's one that I'm working on at the minute for a competition.....less than a week left, I posted before on another thread,....I'm making The Millennium Falcon but as Ralph McQuarrie designed her:

You can see my thread here:

Yes I was looking at that the other day. Awesome build and so many other McQuarrie concepts to try ;-)

Have you considered recreating this shot with your model when it is done...

... either by building the hanger or compositing a photo in?

That's what a PT version of the ship should have looked like.

Yes I'd love to recreate the hanger shot Ryan, & maybe a Ps image of it from above with the stormies around it......hmmm

I have a bit of a thing about the Millennium Falcon.....I've got a few Falcon projects going on at the minute......the main one is the MPC/Ertl kit....I took a break from that kit in March to work on the Revell RMQ Falcon (Scale Model Addict Big Spring Contest, which ran for 3 months...was supposed to finish on Friday night but has been extended by a week)

I have been working on the MPC/Ertl kit since Feb 2012, it is based on the 5 foot filming model from Star Wars (ANH)

Heres roughly where I was when I took a break:

The thread here:

A couple of videos of it:

Vid 1

Vid 2 Engine Lights

I've also got the FineMolds 1/72 which I've hacked off the Mandibles to correct a flaw in FineMolds measurements....

The mandibles now have a slight toe-in

Another wee project is with another Revel easy kit

Sort of mashing the Falcon design with Star Destroyer/AOTC Jedi Starfighter:

.......enough of this Falcon fetish

^ I spy a kit bashed ERTL Stap in that last pic. I've got two of those sets lying around somewhere. TPM had some nice kits.

Just a personal preference, but that Falcon/destroyer hybrid thing is a big no no. Other than that, hats off.

Thanks guys,

Ryan....yep thats the Stap, I got that model cheap in a sale, had no intention to build the kit with the Droid on it, perhaps scratching a rifle like you said you'd done, but its still in a box somewhere......the Stap on the other hand was the part that I thought I'd throw out, but I've managed to salvage the majority of it for other projects, it has been more useful.

Hey, it's me....The Star Destroyer/Falcon has been shelved for a while, my tastes & experience have changed. I do have other ideas for this ship.....but it still will be pointy, maybe with a central cockpit, like the Star Destroyer......hmmm

Nice work so far TK-949, and I hit the 'like' button

I will admit its an interesting idea, and the central cockpit would be cool. Love the idea of the four port propulsion.

Congrats Jaitea.  Awesome model work, as always :)

The ROTJ collaborative thread is a wealth of ideas, both on how to edit Return of the Jedi, as well as how to collaborate in an edit.  Emanswfan has taken leadership of the project.
