Sorry, but I'm DVRing it - I just hate that term, so I still use "tape."

Just finished The Room. Best worst movie ever. I think the Cartoon Network presentation made it even better. Black boxes that take up the whole screen? Yes please. Has to be better than watching these people make out.

Yeah, the TV broadcast took it to a whole new level of bad.

At first my wife was doubtful, but then as it started rolling, she began to understand the LOLs. She ended up calling it a REALLY bad Lifetime movie. She also made sure I didn't delete it from the DVR so that we could show others.

Mission: accomplished.

For those who didn't get to see The Room: Adult Swim Edition:



That box in the upper left corner is a curtain. There were moments where the whole screen was black.

And it was in stretch-o-vision, which kind of added to the "terrible movie" atmosphere.

My wife and I watched the first half of the CN airing, and the black boxes just added to the hilarity (as did the repeated message about not copying copyrighted material, or whatever it was).

My wife enjoyed it quite a bit, but wanted some time "to recover" before watching the second half.

Just watched it on YouTube.

The songs during the "love" scenes are especially funny.  I highly recommend watching with subtitles on if you aren't the type who pays attention to lyrics....

(and you also get a lot of [moaning] and [groaning] subtitles as well)

Also, in terms of "the room". I feel pity for the actress playing Lisa. I read an article a while back stating her first day was the sex scene with the Wiseau guy. He also didn't want underwear as he felt it'd be unrealistic but, he also didn't want to really penatrate her. So, Obscurus Lupa's and, the Nostalgia Critic's joke is completely spot on.

Is it possible for a "parody" to be worse than the original, and in fact so-bad-it's-just-awful?
