That is pronounced "hyper-bowl" right? What a cool word! No clue what it means though. I am imagining a bowl that stirs its own contents? If not then I am totally going to patient that!

;)

I actually do know what what hyperbole is, thank you very much! I am all educated and stuff. Wait, maybe killk64 wasn't actually addressing that post at me... )

Did you also misspell patent on purpose, o edumacated one? ;)

I use to think Phantom Menace was the worst of the prequels but I'm starting to think it is the best. I think Hayden is worse than Jake Lloyd and JarJar put together.

Nope. That was a gen-you-wine typo.

I once used 'hyper-bowl' with genuine comedic intent in spoken conversation only to be frequently accused of incorrectly pronouncing it through ignorance by the better half ever since :-D

Such is life.

It really should be called a Star Bowl.

The film was sadly lacking in CGI gophers.

You could just splice them into the any sequence, the Queen's ship parked on Tatooine, Anakin running through the Naboo fields.

The possibilities are endless.

Anaking doesn't run through Naboo fields as a nine year old in TPM; he waits to do that sort of activity when he is a more mature 17 year old, then he downright frolics.

It's nearly the last image of the second trailer which makes the film look much better than it actually is.

Padme's "Get to your ships!" is delivered with much greater conviction too.

You know, I happen to be a bigger fan of the PT than most.  If they had come out first, followed by the OT 20 years later, they would have been seen as decent movies by most at least, and the OT would have been a big step up.  I still enjoy them for what they are.

I know the movies are riddled with continuity errors, but one that recently started bugging me (I don't know if it was ever brought up here or elsewhere) is when the shields close that separate Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Maul in TPM.  Why couldn't a slice or two on the side where the shield was generated shut the whole thing down?  A couple of blasts shut down the hangar shields in the opening battle of ROTS.  Why can't a lightsaber do the same?

The ROTJ collaborative thread is a wealth of ideas, both on how to edit Return of the Jedi, as well as how to collaborate in an edit.  Emanswfan has taken leadership of the project.

And if Darth Maul had known how to block, maybe he would have survived long enough to be killed by Obi-Wan on Utapau.

Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

Don't mention Crystal Numbskull I'll rage at how they ruined a classic film series.  Lucas manged to ruin 2 in a 9 year span.

I think how bad it is has been overrated.  It's disappointing for sure, and there are some stinker parts, but overall it's worth at least one watch.

And there are a few fanedits around that make it a little better.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is one of the worst films I've ever seen.

You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.

Worst film ever? Jesus, come on.

I thought Crystal Skull was a very fun film. I thought the last 30 minutes were too ridiculous and too disjointed, but the first hour is I think some of the best Indiana Jones stuff there is. The more I re-watch it the more I like. Again, poor ending and a disappointing last act, but overall a worthwhile addition to the series in my opinion. But then this is coming from a guy who holds Temple of Doom as his favourite.

In what parallel dimension is that then? Cos I've been in 1189998819991197253 of them and our version of the phantom menace doesn't seem to conform to the standards of a 'Good story' or being classed as 'well told'

I think it's safe to say with 100.99% certainty that Easterhay is a dyed-in-the-wool PT gusher/Lucas sycophant.

I think it's ironic how one is mocked for giving his own opinion about a movie and then some users here complain about how they are mocked on other websites/forums, while they do the same here.

I really find it sad.

I think everyone here is pretty tolerant of different opinions. I know you didn't quote me here but it was me who insinuated that Easterhay was a troll and that he was being a dick. He did make a number of posts that were perfectly legitimate but at the same time it was obvious in other posts that he was just looking for an argument. Just look at the titles of his favourite threads...

Does it depress you...

The most pathetic drivel about the prequels i have ever read.

...and WE get the bad rap!!!!! (which he dug up in order to quote and mock the OP).

He then attacked zombie's work in a personal fashion and started calling everyone names. I think the reaction he got to some of his more sensible posts were likely coloured by this behaviour. I have not been here for very long and do not want to be responsible for people thinking this site is intolerant, but I stand by my opinion of Easterhay and do not think he has been treated unjustly.

Crystal Skull isn't a good movie, but IMHO it is a heck of a lot more enjoyable than any of the SW prequels.
