Judging her solely on her TPM performance is like...

I'll admit to not being terribly familiar with her work.

Regarding the character of Padme; I found her so poorly created\written\performed  that she has now become my litmus test for possible EU.

If I'm pondering an EU read, I go to Wookiepedia and look under the characters portion of the title.  If Padme exists at all in the world of the novel, I pass.  Irrational maybe, but I dislike the character that much.

So far, it looks like I'm ok on at least four more Zahn novels.

Crimson. Eleven. Delight. Petrichor.

She maybe mentioned, but never plays a part in the EU. Her acting still sucked in Thor when she said, "That's a good look!" I just about gagged.

In fairness, I don't think you can blame Portman for her performance in that film, more the one dimensional nature of her character and poor direction. She's not a bad actress.

I'm that way in regards toward the Fett clones. If I can mentally retcon them into regular soldiers/non-Fett clones, though, I can make some stories featuring them work.

God doesn't think in terms of black or white - or even shades of gray - but in big, bright, bold hues of blue and orange.

What are you talking about?! The Fett Clones were cool! Man, people complain that they don't have enough Fett so GL makes a bunch of clones and you're still not happy.

A lot of people complain that having Fett in ROTJ was too much Fett.  So what are you talking about?

I think the main problem here is that we are led to believe that the stormtroopers from the OT are actually clones. Those super elite Mandalorian bounty hunter troops that barely hit anything in the OT... And you have to do a LOT of retconing to make this work.

Sorry, maybe this post was not necessary. Sometimes I wonder - are your posts serious? Because if not, that would certainly explain a lot...

You should be aware that Frink is often very silly.

But he's serious when he says that a lot of people think Fett in ROTJ is too much Fett. At the very least, Fett in ROTJ is not very awesome.

...

Thankfully he wears a helmet, so hypothetically a fan edit crew could film a better death for him?

Sigh.

Right, so, TPM.

Where are these people? And how have they traveled here all the way from 1995?

Storm Troopers weren't Clones. They were new recruits trained by them.

Anyways, what we're we talking about before this? Something about Maul dancing with his feet?

How the Mini-Jangoes played into the Jedi Purge really soured my opinion of them.

BTW, I was never one of those guys who had a hard-on for Boba.

THe colors clearly have a problem, they will not look like that. No Way.

He has yellow eyes.

He has Horns.

His blood is a red gas, instead of a red liquid.

He looks creepy weird.

Yeah well, lets just assume that I am an average movie fan who has no time or interest in reading through all of those attempts to make up for Lucas' errors. If he indeed wanted his audience to know that stromtrooper != clonetrooper, a simple line about new recruits being trained spoken by pretty much anyone anywhere in ROTS (exept for that young padawan before he gets killed, that would be a bit out of place) would easily establish that.

Alternatively, it could be a red mist. You can't really expect gallons of blood from a wound caused by a burning blade, after all.
