*** The Official DigitalFreakNYC Release Thread*** (SW, Indy + Others!)
Hello all...
As I've been posting over in the Indiana Jones thread, Babyhum and I have teamed up for a series of releases that should be hitting the torrents very soon.
All releases described in this thread are for non-profit entertainment purposes ONLY!
DO NOT SELL ANY OF THESE DISCS FOR PROFIT ON EBAY OR OTHER WEBSITES, COMIC SHOPS OR AT CONVENTIONS.
The point of this project is to preserve vintage Star Wars/Indiana Jones/other programs that have no chance of getting a retail release. IF however any of the DVD's are released commercially, buy the damn official version!
Enjoy,
DigitalFreakNYC

Wow. That sounds like a lot of great stuff! Many of these I've been hoping for but never heard mentioned by the guys that usually do this like The Making of E.T. and the Dracula Criterion. I'm also especially looking forward to your Indy stuff as well as the Seven and The Game Criterion LD transfers. Best of luck with all these!

Nope. I have masters for everything mentioned above. I won't put it on my "upcoming" list until I actually have a master in my hand.
As for the Making of Superman 3, I do not have that. Might be good when we get around to doing superman to have babyhum master it. we could release all 3 of them!

I'll let you know!
Thanks all! And if there's anything that I should be adding to these releases that people can think of, please let me know.

When I get to ET, that will have to be a dual-layered release as the documentary is about 90 minutes. I seriously wish I had recorded the TV reunion special that aired on NBC at the time of the re-release. That would be a perfect compliment.
Ash, your contribution would be great. I'll let you know!

If I can help, it will be my pleasure.
I also have the E.T. and Friends TV show from 1982 with Robin Williams. sourced from a Beta SP NTSC. Haven't seen it already. I will let you know about the quality.

Doesn't sound like there's a lot of ET material on there. Mostly a "clip" show.

I'm confused about your question. If you have the LD, you would know there's 2 commentaries along with tons of other extras.
The current DVD has ZERO extras. The criterion is, well, jam packed.

you state above that you have the bram stokers dracula 2-disc criterion?are you sure its the criterion and not the special collectors edition 2-disc set?
because after i typed that question above i went and got out my drac LD's to see for myself the differences, and i have both the 2-disc SPECIAL COLLECTORS EDITION,and the 3-disc CRITERION COLLECTION(my set has 3 not 2 discs)
wow i wasnt aware of all the extras, but appears the movie is still exactly the same,i could be wrong.
i also have the bela lugosi dracula LD and Nosferatu.
sorry if the question seemed dumb to you, but i just didnt want to dig them out, but i did it anyway.

Dude.
MY version will be 2 DVD's. I'm not referencing the # of laserdiscs.
I will be syncing the commentaries and putting the extras on the second disc, along the same lines as the Criterion Se7en.

I'm picking it up from the post office today. Apparently it's pretty old and was shown on Jaws night one night in the UK. I think it's about an hour long and has different interviews than the laserdisc boxed set. It got raves for being better than the laserdisc for a while but I doubt it. That thing holds a special place in my heart. I'll let you know!

Update: Artwork for Se7en Criterion posted in that thread. Should have both discs done this week.
As soon as babyhum gets back from his vacation, we should have some goodies rolling out.
Stay tuned.

The current DVD has ZERO extras..
My DVD of "Bram Stoker's Dracula" most certainly has a documentary "Blood Lines: Dracula - the man, the myth, the movies" and a costume gallery, in addition to the trailer.
The only "Dracula" that I see listed in Criterion's releases is "Blood for Dracula", which has nothing to do with "Bram Stoker's Dracula", by the way...
