If I remember correctly, wasn't this program released as part of the "Jurassic Park Trilogy" OOP set that was released a few years back? With the red and silver box?

I think it has something to do with being the first person to post a reply.

Fez: I am so excited about Star Whores.

It is like we have a sneak peak at the new forum software. Awesome!

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish memes.

I didn't realize this had official release. I had tried to check before posting about this, but I couldn't find any official information. So, no go on a preservation project.

Still, if there are any big JP fans out there who would like to have this VHS for their collection, please PM me.

The movie store in my town is going out of business, so they were giving away all of their screener copies of VHS's and DVD's. One of the items that was up for grabs was "The Making Of Jurassic Park." I took it because I thought folks here might be interested in it. I don't know if this has ever found its way onto any of the official DVDs. It is 50 minutes long and is narrated by James Earl Jones. Anyone interested?

yeah, I am not sure if that has an official release. But it would be really cool to preserve if not.

After all the best preservation of this, would just be ripping it from the DVD... which again makes it illegal... so, where's the point? Just buy the goddamn DVD!

Okay - to clear up any confusion:

1) I posted this thread because I could not find any information on whether or not this documentary had been released on DVD. Apparently it has, so my original idea (VHS>DVD preservation) means nothing.

2) For some reason, posts in this thread are out of order. When I made my post last week, it post-dated it for November 4, pushing it toward the bottom of the thread.

3) I am not a big JP fan, so if a big JP fan wants this VHS for their collection, they are more than welcome to it. Just shoot me a PM.

Hey, got your pm.

Yea, that one with James Earl Jones narrating is on the DVD...

If anyone has it on VHS still, I would only ask if they could transfer the end credits. on the DVD, they cut off the last few seconds... and that's an unused/unreleased cue called "Raptor In the Shed" which then leads into the track most people call "Clever Girl" which IS in the film (although the ending is substituted with tracked music) abut in actuality, these two are one cue... and I wonder if someone who ahs the DVD and the VHS, could compare the last few seconds and see if there is more music than whats on the DVD... if so, I'd love to have it...

otherwise, I don't think there's much point in transfering it.

The feturette on the special other disc is kinda cool too but I don't know them ever putting it on VHS... I never knew it existed till I got the disc...

not much extra music there unfortunately.

Is it not sad that in this time, we are more surprised by acts of love than acts of hate?
