Does anybody have them (ANH, Empire, ROTJ) and could make them available on the newsgroups, please?
I think they haven't been around for a couple of years now and thus are hard to find.

Better Grumpy than DopeyConfusingly, while Eraser calls these "Custom DVD Editions", they're actually not customised versions of the 2006 DVDs but instead transfers of the US Definitive Collection laserdiscs.
More info here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/russdawson/gtf/dvd/OT/eraser.html
Mallwalker posted ANH to the newsgroup just a couple of days ago.

Thanks for the info Moth3r, but I knew this already. I don't think Mallwalker has ESB and ROTJ because in the newsgroup alt.binaries.starwars thread he wrote "Ep. IV only." So I guess he doesn't have them, that't why he won't post them.
So again, does anybody have Eraser's ESB and ROTJ to make this edition complete, please?

THC-1138 meets TK-420Those were posted in March 2006. IIRC GOUT wasn't even announced until May that year.
So yes, 'custom DVD' had a different meaning then.
The video is pulled down hard -- hasn't been IVTC'ed.
There's some ENORMOUS scans in the DVD-ROM folder might be more interesting than VIDEO_TS itself, in this case.
I never burned any of those trilogy to disc, but I found those RARs stashed away on my laptop's rarely-used Windows partition, just taking up space for the past five years.
Figured I'd repost first, then I can delete them with a clear conscience.
If you need more PARs better ask NOW ;)
I could repost the sequels' NFOs, but I never grabbed any more than that
However, in practice you must take into account the "fuckwit factor". Just talk to Darth Mallwalker...

Mall, if any of those scans are of use could you post them over in the hi-res poster art thread?

Jedi KnightWhat is the point of using a pal capture card for NTSC discs ?
If your gonna do pal might as well capture the PAL THX discs instead.
This is in question to the info on Russ's site baffling as hell. Even with the set creators claim for why they used a pal capture card for the video.

Better Grumpy than DopeyI would imagine that he had the PAL version of the WinTV because he lived in the UK. It doesn't make any difference because you're not using the tuner, you're capturing NTSC from the composite video input.

iff any of those scans are useful, post them in the hi-res art thread :)

Jedi of the Mosaic FaithAny point of this besides completeness? Is the 'some material not released in any other edition' compelling?

From what I remember, it was possibly the first LD transfer to be on a DVD9? It was originally spotted by Russ as reported in this post.
Despite being a DVD9, image quality turned out to be disappointing. Don't know if the extras & DVD-ROM content make it a worthwhile download.
