Going on about three years ago now.
I've heard a lot of good stuff about your versions, TR47 (you're the same guy, right?).

Yes, it's me. There is a new set coming soon which should be one of the best around. It will be a significant improvement over the current set (which is still very good).

Can anybody post screenshots of The Empire Strikes Back for this set?
I think the TR47 distincly lacks quality in parts of ESB and I would like some screenshots from this set.

Well, I finally finished DL'ing both discs of Dr. Gonzo's "Making of Trilogy" set from alt.binaries.starwars. Pretty cool stuff.
MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They're certainly beyond any repair you're capable of making.
MeBeJedi: You aren't one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can't say I find that very disappointing.
JediRandy: I won't suck as much as a fan edit.

Just finished watching these with my 6 year old daughter, (who loves Star Wars), and I gotta say for being made 3 years ago these rank right up there with rest, good sound, picture, easter eggs and menus. Only bad thing I can say about this set is the few seconds of missing Leia welding footage (which my daughter noticed), other than that good job overall Dr Gonzo. Another set to add to my ever growing Star Wars OOT collection.

Yep, which is unfortunately a flaw in the source material. Probably 90% of all Definitive Collection sets have that mistake in the disc flips.

"Star Wars Extras" at MySpleen isn't Dr.Gonzo's. It's Farsight's.
Dr.Gonzo's "Supplemental Material" is at TorrentBox.com
I like Dr.Gonzo's better for its colour, and also because its still images can be viewed as a slideshow on a standalone player. Farsight's still images are in the "DVD-Others zone" (outside the VIDEO_TS directory) so they can only be seen on a computer.
However, in practice you must take into account the "fuckwit factor". Just talk to Darth Mallwalker...

mkisofs refused to master those "Making of .." part 1 & 2 torrents
because the VIDEO_TS.IFO/VOB/BUP were non-standard-compliant.
I used a hex editor to fix the IFO and BUP, then it worked okay.
Sounds like you're having a different sort of problem though.
I CAN help you find the Supplemental Material if you turn on Private Messaging in your profile.

Dr. Gonzo...
First off let me say that's its a sad day with Hunter passing on. He's a personal favorite, and judging from your nick, you're into him too.
OK...since you have PM's shut off and I don't have any other way to contact you, I'm making a request in this public forum. There have been some calls over at a.b.starwars to post your trilogy. There have been 3 seperate requests for your specific OT over the past 2 months. I personally enjoy your version of the OT and would love to share it.
There's no rush on an answer, but would you mind if I posted your OT?
Thanks in advance. You can PM me with your answer.

Oh, by all means, feel free to post away.
The best I've read on the Good Doctor's passing has been some awesome
words from Ralph Steadman. It's a loss for the world, but from the sounds of things, a gain for ol' Hunter.

First of all, good job Dr_Gonzo. Thank you for your work. BTW, the easter eggs are very cool.
If it weren't for the easter eggs, I wouldn't know which version I have d'loaded.
So, to my questions:
1)While searching for the easter eggs, I found out that somewhere near the top right corner of the main menu, there is a button (does not a highlight option, but it's there).
When I press it, my player closes. Is that made intentionally? What is it?
2) Why does the ROTJ disk not have the THX logo on the start as the other two do? And why does this disc have time-seek restricted?
3) Can someone PM me for the wherabouts of the supplamental matterial disc?
And now, for your feature presentation:
The Classic Re-re-re-release of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back.
In this version the word "WOOKIE" has been changed to "HAIR CHALLENGED ANIMAL" and the entire cast has been digitally replaced by Ewoks.
