Everything is a psyop! It's a bit old school and at times has been considered unfashionable but,
I'm a HUGE Beach Boys fan (1961-1985 era). Well, this summer is the big 50 year anniversary for the boys. It's sad that we have lost Dennis and Carl (The heart and Sole of the original group) but I must say, I'm truly looking forward to a possible reunion show that would include all the living members from the classic line up. Unfortunately, I don't think this will include one time member Ricky Fataar (1970-1973).
Brian has said in the press that he is for doing it, as has Al. Rumor is that it will most likely be a free show in a location such as the National Mall in Washington D.C., or Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. If it happens, I'm there with an over-sized beach ball to set free in the crowed!
Any other Beach Boys fans here?
Favorite albums by the band:
Pet Sounds (1966)
Surf's Up (1971)
Holland (1972)
Friends (1968)
Sunflower (1970)
Wild Honey (1968)
Summer Day's (and Nights) (1965)
Stack-O-Tracks (1968)
Note: I did not include "Smile" (1967) or any of the session tapes from that project, as it's still not an official album release, But, I love all that stuff too.

See You, Space Cowboy...Pet Sounds is fantastic. I don't know much else by them aside from their hits, but I have heard that album in full.
Would love to see them in San Diego by the beach, or someplace bizarrely symbolic like that.

You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.

Heisenberg for PrincipalShould I put LOL every time you guys make me LOL? Cos that could get annoying. Why no 'Like' button in Off-Topic?
As for Beach Boys I only liked them for a while when Kokomo was on the charts and I was smashing bottles all over the place. Sorry FF.

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityI saw whoever tours as the Beach Boys currently last year. My mother-in-law didn't want to go alone, so she took my wife and I. They were old, the actual Beach Boys, and didn't actually do much singing. The Mrs and I were never Beach Boys fans, so we didn't really enjoy it.
I'm sure a fan would still enjoy them (and their young backup singers who actually do all the harmony now).

Green Plastic SkywalkerAnyone ever listen to the PurpleChick reproduction of the infamous lost album "Smile"? I think it's genius, probably the closest we'll ever get to an official release.

I like them. They played live outside my window a couple nights ago with John Stamos.
Okay, not right outside my window, but close enough I could hear the concert pretty well. But I refuse to be wooed by Stamos in any event.
This is not a lightsaber. Nor a euphemism.

has been intentionally left blank. Not a massive fan - I prefer their songs that aren't about cars or surfing ;) but anyone who doesn't like the beach Boys needs a punch in the face.
a lot of their stuff still gets used in movies and telly shows so people are probably grooving along without even realising.
