All I have is the T2 Ultimate Edition DVD (2 Disc) set .... don't know if that will help or not.

I've got some sort of OTV 4:3 laser, not sure if the mix is OTV though.

I am wondering that the german HD-DVD has a 7.1 DTS-HD Track, while every other Release on BD only has 5.1 or 6.1 Tracks.

I now have waht is said to be the CDS mix but is a nightmare to sync

Cinema Digital Sound (CDS) was a 5.1 theatrical release format developed in the early 1990's by Eastman Kodak and ORC (Optical Radiation Corporation). CDS was short-lived in the marketplace, giving way to Dolby® Digital, DTS®, and SDDS®.

One key factor that may have played a part in its short life was the fact that CDS occupied the same physical space on a print that the analog SVA track used. This meant that a CDS track could not have an analog backup on the print. All current digital theatrical formats rely on the analog track as a default backup in the case of digital errors and mutes in the digital playback. Moreover, the analog track takes on even greater importance if the print should end up in a theater that doesn't support digital playback.

It was the basis for the AC-3 5.1 track on the first USA dvd release, or so the rumour goes

I saw it in CDS and nothing has lived up to it on any format for T2! I am 70% Sure Days of Thunder is the CDS mix (and is a stunning mix also) and Edward Scissorhands may be also, but I am less sure on that.

I'll have to take a listen to that again.  I have that disc, and I don't remember it sounding that good.  Although, I never heard the theatrical mix in cinemas but it never seemed to be a full, bombastic, theatrical sounding mix.  I'll dig it out again.

Its 100% not the same mix, if it is the CDS mix as people clam I am less sure I will have a comparison video up soon showing BD "CDS" and LD mixes for the same scene

LDDB says ......

This is a remastered edition of the 1991, 139-minute theatrical release with a remastered Dolby Digital AC-3 soundtrack.

The 1998 region 1 DVD used the same sound and picture transfers. No supplements.

Although the jacket doesn't indicate it, side 3 is in CAV format.
