Luke is shaping up to be something like Bill Murray in The Man Who Knew Too Little.

Apparently everyone knows what's going on but him.

I read about this theory on Cracked.com (filed under "Ridiculous Fan Theories that might actually Improve the Movies" or something).

It's a pretty entertaining read.

Well, since Chewbacca was already in ROTS it's not surprising to see Hasbro make more Chewbacca figures and make him appear in the Clone Wars.

I just hope we see him play Chess and someone says "Let the Wookiee win" because that has always needed more explaining.

What we need is to see Wookiee ripping people's arms off. Blood everywhere.

Anakin was shown his future in a dark side vision during last week's episode. (It played out a lot better than his premonitions of Padme dying in ROTS.) Of course, his memory was wiped before it was over.

My guess is that they are going to mess established storylines again... maybe the way Chewbacca and Han meet.

Aw man...I don't need to know that.  I mean, I already found out that Chewie and Yoda met during a speed dating session in a hotel lobby...

One thing that gets me is that they have managed to make chewies face look like he does in the OT yet lucasfilm made him look completely different for ROTS.I never understood how they could get the face so wrong in ROTS.

The carbon freezing plot is bloody ridiculous though and completely ruins the danger of Han getting frozen in ESB. Lando says that if they put Luke in there it might kill him, so Vader tests it out on Han. Why would he have bothered if he knew it was a safe procedure? And they have Ugnaughts controlling the carbon chamber in TCW so you could take it that they are some sort of experts at carbon freezing, so no danger then. I have a bad feeling that Lucas will add more dialogue in the blu-ray version of ESB:

Lando: "You put him in there it might kill him.

Vader: "no, i've done it myself, it's perfectly safe"

As much as i like TCW, there are moments that just scream fanwank

I sometimes forget that TCW-Anakin = Vader.

Lando: Oh.  When was that?
Vader: Back when I owned R2-D2 and Chewie and I used to hang.
Vader (to Chewie): What is up, my man?
Chewie: Rawagagraarar.

He does stop Boba Fett (who also has a bit of a past with) from shooting Chewie (maybe he still owes him five dollars).

Vader's line implies otherwise, as I've explained before. And the danger can be explained with the facility being crude.

So many things happen on Cloud City that it must inherently contain some sort of cosmic significance. Almost as if it were the junction point for the entire space-time continuum. On the other hand, it could just be an amazing coincidence.

RE: Tarkin in the clone wars.

The thing with the freezing chamber in ESB was that the facilities and the freezing compound (carbonite) were not commonly used for freezing humanoids. I find it implied that cryogenic freezing did exist in the Star Wars universe, but that another technique was more common.

In the Clone Wars episode, I think that it would make sense if they were using a proper cryogenic freezing facility for the freezing process, freezing them within a proper cryogenic freezing medium... but it has been made public that carbonite is used ...

By the way, a short clip of Tarkin is available now. The American voice actor fails horribly at trying to emulate Peter Cushing's accent ...

And that's just now, wait til we meet young Han Solo, young Lando, Lobot before he was a cyborg and Willrow Hood making ice creams for Clone Troopers next season of Clone Wars.

Why do you think Cloud City even exists?  It's a mining colony.  They mine Tibanna Gas.  Why would you even think that mining operation has a human cryogenic freezing chamber just for shits and giggles?  And if that was the case, why would there be such a fear of death for those who use it?  Is Lando doubling as that back alley surgeon from Tijuana, and that's why his facility is "crude"?  Umm, no.  They use that facility for the freezing and transportation of the gases that they mine!

The only real problem with The Clone Wars, to me, is that they try to do a lot of this fanservice. The problem with that being we are generally a group of fans that don't really want it.

They should really be trying out new and exciting and different things, rather than shoehorning a bunch of old characters and concepts in, whether it works or not, or whether it can be retconned to work or not.

Oh well. At least their Chewie looks right.
