TPM: Lone Gungan Edition

I just re-watched the edit of TPM I did last year and thought it was all right. So if anyone wants to watch it send me a PM.

Here's the key characteristics:

- Tons of musical changes throughout

- Jar Jar is the only Gungan

- The Trade Federation and Jar Jar are both subbed

- The space battle happens when the Queen leaves Naboo

More specific changes:

- The Trade Federation invasion sequence has been changed, it now includes moments from the Droid/Gungan battle, as well as clips from Terminator Salvation, Star Trek First Contact and Star Trek Insurrection, to create a greater sense of the suffering to the people, and threat of the invading army

- Jar Jar owns the Sub, he tells the Jedi that he’s parked it at the bottom of the lake/ocean

- There’s a brief scene in the Sub where Jar Jar instructs the Jedi that the best idea is get off-world ASAP

- When Obi Wan frees the pilots they rush to their ships and take off immediately to attack the Federation (if your country/planet has been invaded why would you not attack them the first chance you get?); so the Queen’s ship getting off Naboo is interspersed with clips from the space battle

- Sebulba threatening Jar Jar is removed, replaced by Anakin fighting Greedo

- Qui Gon lightsabering the probe droid is added

- Jar Jar informs the Queen that she needs to fight back, leading to her decision to go back to Naboo

- All mentions of midichlorians and virgin births have been removed

- The parade scene is excised – the film ends on Palpatine’s face

Quick note: the version originally released on FE was way too rough and not ready for release... hence it got bad reviews. This version is significantly tightened up and slicker. So my advice for any editors out there: don't release your edit until you're 100% sure it's as good as it can be!

I have your edit and I consider it to be the best but rough. From there I got inspired to move the space battle to the escape of Naboo. Very good score changes and brilliant editing.

By the way I know you did this a long time ago but by any chance do you remember how did you drowned or eliminated the music on the center channel. I'll understand if you don't remember. Thank you!

I wonder if you downloaded the early version that was once on FE rather than the "finished" version? It's certainly a lot less rough now.

About the centre channel: unfortunately there is no way (as far as I know) of removing the music. I just spent lots of hours trying to get it sounding the best I could. It's not perfect but I think it's mostly OK.

I downloaded the FE version, it is a little rough. What is the difference of that one and this "finished" version. Does it have any mayor difference or just thighten up the editing?

Honestly, I can't remember too many specifics. Most of the changes were to the audio: originally the music I added was way too loud, and there were loads of poor bits where all the multiple audio sources weren't blended together well (like the foreign voices).

I remember adding a bit where the Trade Federation explain that Sidious was responsible for building their empire. Plus the Naboo invasion was changed a lot - stuff from a couple of the Trek movies added. Also, I think in version one I hadn't yet removed the midichlorians, but that's gone now.

I really hope you had version one - because I'm pretty sure for a while version two was on FE, and it would suck if you're downloading the same version twice.

Anyway version two is 1 hour 27 mins 1 second, so if that's the exact length of the copy you have then you've already got it.
