Funny thing is you can get VHD discs for next to nothing but buying a refurbished player, they are rare will cost you somewhere between 2000 dollars and up.  Finding and buying an X0 laserdisc player is far cheaper.

The last player i saw on sale had the 3-D  equipment so sold for 5 grand plus like 20 movies.  And i think Friday the 13th 3D and jaws 3D.

I think VHD was a japan only format and was popular for music videos and anime amongst other things.

I just picked up Empire Strikes Back on VHD here in New Zealand today.  Does anyone know what these discs go for in terms of a sale price?

It's one year old post.

Would VHDs be better quality than laserdiscs? Also, what version of Star Wars was released on VHD? If it is the 1997SE and VHDs are better than laserdiscs, then these could be interesting indeed.

They were made in the 1980's and on an obscure and obsolete format, even more obscure than cdi movies format, or video8.

Star Wars was pan and scan only.

Stereo i think and the same as 1982 vhs release.
