Do these ISO's contain H.264 video stream? I mean, ideally I would like to convert them to M4V format and keep the 720p res without further encoding.
The M2TS streams are H.264 based. You should have no problem converting them to whatever format you need ;)

I color and level corrected GOUT to reduce the over-abundant reds and reduce the white levels. Some of it is detailed in the earlier posts. Undoubtedly, it's not going to be to everyone's tastes...but it makes me happy.

Han D. SoloIf the files are ISO, you'll need Deamon Tools or something similar to mount them in order to play them in a computer and then you can either play them as a disc or go to BMDV/STREAM and play the mt2s file.

Standing in the rain...So, I can't watch these on My TV then? I was hoping that the files would play on my Panasonic Blu ray player. It has the AVCHD logo on the front.. Surely there must be a way? I am using alcohol 120 % to mount images, and the iso's are not readable.

Yes, AVCHD is designed for playback on most set-top Blu-Ray players. Just burn the ISOs to standard DVD+R DL discs with ImgBurn (or another program) and pop 'em in your player. That's what they're intended for.

I am looking for good versions of the original theatrical versions of the trilogy. Can anyone tell me how the Hyperspace Collection compares to Harmy's Despecialized editions?
Also after the Blu Ray release in Sept, are we likely to see a new round of theatrical version edits?

Hyperspace is purely an upscaled, color-corrected, and digitally remastered edition of the GOUT transfers (i.e. the '06 DVDs).

Yeah, Im sorry about that. I haven't read the entire thread.
Was there input from members here about the colors? Or did you you just trust yourself alone? The reason I ask is there are some very talented people here when it comes to color correction...just to name a few Adywan, Harmy, Moth3r, the list goes on...
I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

There was some input early on from Harmy and Zombie84. Other than that, I trusted myself. I've been semi-decent at color-correction with past, non-SW projects (some of which I still need to upload and share someday). At least, the results look good to me on my TV.

I've heard that Panasonics can be touchy on AVCHDs. Sorry to hear that.
You can always try extracting the video streams from the ISO, converting them to MKV, and playing them from a memory stick (or a DVD9).

No worries. I've got your SD versions to enjoy! Many thanks for all your hard work :-)

I am ready for the trials! My player (sony) supports AVCHD files, but burning the image file didn't work for me. I had to extract the ISO and just burn the file itself. Played no problem. Didn't have to do any coversion.
Thanks for this BTW, they look great!

Dark Jedi KnightWas the ISO made using UDF v2.50? if not, these will not play.
It looks like it wasn't, because Sony players play everything, and so do Panasonic players, I have both.

I had the same problem with Hamry's SW blu ray ISO image.
This helped to play the file on my standalone, maybe you will get your image playable too if you try this:
Mount the ISO image in daemon tools or a similar tool.
Then open the BDMV folder. Are there other folders named AUXDATA, BDJO, JAR, META in the BDMV folder?
If not, I have no idea to get this one playable on your standalone. :-(
If these folders are there follow my little guide:
Copy/paste the BDMV folder and the CERTIFICATE folder from the image you mounted into another folder on your HDD, for example C//:videos. You could also skip this step but I really recommend to do this.
When finished, delete the following subfolders in the BDMV folder you copied:
\BDMV\AUXDATA\
\BDMV\BDJO
\BDMV\JAR
\BDMV\META
\BDMV\BACKUP\BDJO
Important: Do not delete the BACKUP folder, only the BDJO folder in the BACKUP folder.
Then burn the BDMV folder and the CERTIFICATE folder on your disc as described in this guide. Your disc should play now.
Some standalones cannot handle discs that contain the subfolders mentioned. My player cannot handle them too, but this helped.

I just verified the ISOs in ImgBurn and they are UDF v2.50. I'm not sure what's going on :/
EDIT: Except for Disc 4, which is a standard DVD and UDF 1.02.

I don't have a MySpleen account, so it's currently only on TehParadox and Demonoid.

Pure, Unadulterated ManiaTo anyone who might be downloading this right now (7/9/11),
It seems there is a problem with the authoring of Discs 1-3 which I am quickly trying to resolve. I've temporarily removed download links or added warnings to the Demonoid and TehParadox listings.
In other words, I highly suggest not picking this one up until I post that new discs are available. Ugh, it's gonna be a long night.

Pure, Unadulterated ManiaTo anyone who was planning on downloading Hyperspace, replacement editions are now posted on TehParadox and Demonoid.
Also, MKV versions of the first 3 discs have been made available.
The problem with the AVCHDs seems to have been related to using a separate M2TS stream for the opening anti-piracy and sound options notice. The streams have been joined and the problem seems gone. Weird :/
