RE: GOUT V3 Star Wars Trilogy Info.

I thought the donators were already getting the laserdisc rip of the originals you provided a sample of earlier? So the 1997 SE broadcasts are now also exclusive to donators too?

See, I didn't think the V8 looked that great at all, but this is why to each their own applies right? the only thing I do know for sure is this, my new set BLOWS away the Dark\Sega set by leaps and bounds, at least to me anyways.

I am only going to say this 1 more time, I am not 100% sure yet, my whole deal was the ESB IE project with ABC and the GOUT V3, nothing else was ever set in stone anyways, plus I am not an uploading machine LOL, and those waiting on Paradox, well I do not use those file sharing companies like RS, HF, etc. I do not have a premium account and I do not want AvPee uploading it either, I really do not care for that glory hound POS anyways, so if and when these are OK'd by my testers they will be most likely be @ a.b.starwars but if I do torrent them, they will be at spleen, so let's just get them out and tested first OK? this is ALOT of DVD's to upload, plus some want the PCM tracks I did, well all of them are a ton of GB's as well.

Thanks. That's all you needed to say - clarify what is actually happening lol, otherwise it causes confusion, as it has done.

d_j, do you have a vacation planned after all these are out the door?  You've earned it.

Actually I have been on a kind of vacation, I have been laid off since early November unfortunately, that is why these DL's you guys sent really helped more than you guys could imagine LOL.

I wish I would've seen the announcement about the DLs. Missed it somewhere along the line.

It doesn't look as good as the X9 screens he posted, but there's no rainbowing (though yours has very little), and there's slightly more detail, probably because there's no grain filters applied. Or did you not use a grain filter?

Not that I'm knocking your efforts ;) Just making an observation. Like I said, there's no chroma shift in yours, and I agree, it does look much better than the screens of the V1.

But I've never seen a LaserDisc in person to compare with, if that's what you mean.

It's very important that a project like this exists.  It's so painful to watch the special editions that I've been avoiding watching any of the original films until an adequate theatrical version was released.

Thank you for caring enough to put in the hard work.  I plan on sending in DVD-Rs and making a donation. (I can still do that, correct?)

I've been checking this forum since summer 2010 but have not posted anything until now.

Hi Dack Ralter, welcome to the forum. I was curious about this too. I also want to send in some Verbatim DVD+R-DLs to you, DJ. Can I still do that?

Sounds funny, considering how long the process has been. Haha. Glad you're pleased with them, especially on a large TV. :)

Probably on tehparadox too.

Well, if they ever get tehparadox to work properly it would be a good place for folks who know and like to use JDownloader.  Every single time I try to access the site it drags like cement bricks encased in lead.  There are also times when clicking links there where I get diverted to some "pay for" downloading site....it sucks.

Any suggestions on easier ways to navigate it would be greatly appreciated.

Try a new ISP?  I've never had any problems loading TehParadox.

I was only referring to your basic set, dark_jedi.
I'm aware your bonus set was for those who sent in DL's, and I'm fine with that, obviously. It's a fine reward.

Like some others, I too wouldn't mind sending in some DL's late at this point.
Although since I live in Belgium, I'm not sure if those would survive the long trip.

Yes, all sets have subtitles now, that is another improvement over my earlier versions, I actually forgot them on some, and didn't know how to do them on others.

Yes I did, along with several others from other members, I am still undecided, but leaning towards no, I am just about finished now and don't really think I need any more blank DL's.

I'm sure these will be available through all the usual methods.  The only thing required may be a little patience.  I've been wanting this set for more than a few months now.  An extra couple of days won't kill me.

As much as I appreciate your attempt at assistance, switching ISP's just for this is not a viable solution.

I'll figure it out on my own.  Thanks.

And here i thought he was talking about if you removed the burned in japan subtitles that made the V1 all but unwatchable of your Japan special collection DVD's.

They worked exclusively as a direct preservation of the laserdisc.  No trying to improve the video, or making it anamorphic etc.
