what are they called and how big are they? I want to make sure I get the best quality versions for my edit. Also If someone could PM an alternate means of obtaining these I would be grateful but I'll find a way to use usenet if I have to.

They are typically 17-19GB each!

Incidentially, I cannot see the German Empire Strikes Back on Usenet...all the others, just no Empire.  Can anyone else confirm this?

Anyone know about  a torrent tracker where the German Boradcast files are still seeded? I'm in Hungary and my ISP doesn't provide Usenet acces.

I to am trying to obtain the best HDRips, the big wookie groomer ones in particular.

I have astraweb usenet access and newzbin access, but the prequel trilogy is to old to download, and the original is not even appearing in searches, anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm a bit confused on all these HD sources. So if one wanted to use an HD source for a project would the German rips be the best? That seems to be the case but I just want to make sure.

yes. I believe the Wookiegroomer releases (which are mainly sourced from the German broadcasts) corrected a few small artifacts using other sources but they are still more compressed than the German sources which are uncompressed broadcasts rips about 20gb per movie in size.

Can somebody send me a pm also as to where I can get these from? I have a usenet acct but i'll torrent if I have to. Also if anyone knows if Adywans ANH is being torrented anywhere? I'm grabbing from usenet but its just over my retention and I don't think I'll have enough pars to repair. Thanks

I really wouldn't bother with torrents for files that large.  There are usenet providers that do one off pricing plans etc, just ask around.  Also using a program like Alt.Binz, one you've set it up everything is automated.   You give it the NZB file, it spits out the ISO, MKV etc at the end of it and deletes all the temporary files.

adywan's Revisited was @demonoid; however, I've presumed technics2000 is asking about his AVCHD.
It could be there also, of course.

 

They're actually both at Demonoid, I have the ISO files for both so I can upload if required.  Actually just noticed they're both (AVCHD and Revisited) at TPB as well

 

Edit: only the AVCHD is at TPB, I can upload the PAL DVD9 of revisited to TPB if required.

 

Sorry about the confusion. I'm not looking for the revisitied edition, just the color corrected 1080p or the German Hd Rips.I already have Adywans Ep.V 1080p, unfortunately Ep.IV is just over my retention and the copies on demonoid and tpb are already extracted so I have to redownload the whole thing from the beginning instead of grabbing a few rars and repairing.

If I can get the German HD rips i'll be happy for now until Adywan finishes up the OT in 1080p.

Hi, i am also looking for the 1080p or German hd rips without having to download them ( basic bt U.K. internet package ). Can anybody help ?.

The short version: I've never done torrents or file sharing successfully. I've spent the last three weekends trying and just ended up with spyware and viruses so I'm ready to throw in the towel. It all started with "The Puggo Edition" and so far has culminated in an obsessive coveting of the Adywan fan-edits and HD stuff. Any alternatives? Suggestions? Advice? Please?
