This is Bingo's favorite idea that will, sorry to say, never happen.

I hope the final scene in ep-9 will be very touching and moving with Luke going back to his old farmstead on tatooine where his aunt and uncle are buried and say: " Uncle owen u were right, obiwan kenobi was just a crazy old man" ;P

"There's no cluster of midiclorians that controls my destiny!" -Han Solo, from a future revision of ANH

Ya...I heard that there's a seventh one coming out soon. I wonder who's gonna direct it?

I have also heard there's a Die Hard 7 on its way...

As long as there's an exploding moustache guy in the new film it may stand a chance in its fierce competition.

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Sincerely, Lynne Hale publicity@lucasfilm.com

Saoirse Ronan confirmed... that she has auditioned for EP 7 "like everyone else", she added.

Agreed.

Largely because I genuinely don't think Lucas realises what his characters are.

I don't think he can contextualise them beyond toys.

Also nuGalactica and Terminator has sort of done the idea already but not in the same context.

For me Artoo has always been my favorite character. He even comes out of the humiliations heaped upon him in the PT less harmed than the other OT characters.

We see him care, be brave, take a laser bolt or two and he is treated as a slave, even by the good guys.

I remember rooting for the Voc robots (particularly the Dumbs) in The Robots Of Death too so I guess I have a thing for equal rites for metal people.

But Leia as the bad guy...it has to happen...right?

It would be cool if there was a Star Wars VS Star Trek movie with all the stars from Into Darkness and all the stars from Episode VII....And hopefully Zac Efron will not be in it.

Such an endeavour would only result in the annihilation and recreation of both universes ...

God doesn't think in terms of black or white - or even shades of gray - but in big, bright, bold hues of blue and orange.

Oh Bingo, that's like saying "Anakin as a truly heroic character in the prequels...it has to happen...right?"

But if they were battling, wouldn't one side have to travel to the others time period in order to actually meet up? That would either put the Trek characters going into our worlds past, giving them 1950's tech at best (we were told in the 1970's that SW happened 'a long time ago') or the characters from SW would have to travel into the future where their tech would be even more advanced than what we see in the SW flicks that took place 'a long time ago'.

Not really much of a fighting chance for the Trekkies either way.  : p

Not with Fisher in that role. At least that's what my opinion is.

Prequel Trilogy was supposed to be a story about a good man turning bad. In reality, it is a story about how a complete jerk (PT Anakin) turned into one of the best characters in film history (OT Vader)

Eh, something wormhole, something timey-wimey...

Anyway, Chuck Sonnenburg already theorized that the Empire would sucker in a Dominion War-weary Federation with promises of hyperdrives and turbolasers and what-have-you. :P

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!

I can't see any reason for recasting Carrie Fisher and she would be just as good at being evil as she was at being...good.

I didn't say not recasting her, I just said she shouldn't be given any important role in the film.

Anybody who thinks Carrie can't play twisted and evil has never seen The Blues Brothers. ;)

Oh come on. There is a huge difference between pressing bomb trigger while having no dialogue (such as Fisher in The Blues Brothers) and actually portraying evilness through superb acting and dialogue delivery (such as Cushing and McDiarmid in OT).

She is an okay actress but for the main villain they should hire an actor of higher calibre.

I believe I am entitled to my opinion and expression of it. If I said she is a great actress I would be lying to you and to myself.
