Well in that case, why not make the job easier and just use the existing shiny armoured Mandalorian?

I've always thought that scene was pointless, even if it didn't suck in all other ways (with the kid, and the unmasked bounty hunter with zero mystery). We don't learn anything new in that scene. Obi Wan just has a chat with him about stuff we already know.

I'm hoping to just redub the Kaminoans to say that the bounty hunter is about to leave, and that his DNA has been an excellent candidate for further improvements to the army (not have him be the sole template for the clones) then have Obi Wan contact Mace and Yoda, and then have him go make the arrest.

Surely having all those unhelmeted clones of Fett (in AOTC and ROTS) is going to pop the bubble of mystery you are trying to maintain?

Not really, as the Clones aren't going to be exclusively cloned from Fett in my edit. Rather they are created from combined genetics of select candidates.

I'd like to remove the whole Fett being used by the cloners thing entirely, but then he'd have no reason to be on Kamino.

But in any case, troopers are another thing that should never be seen without a helmet :P

My ROTS edit (if I ever get around to it) will address that.

Also, forgot to mention. All the clones we see in Attack of the Clones sat down eating in the facility look nothing like Temuera Morrison. It's a different actor entirely.

The Episode 2 Visual Dictionary tried explaining this by saying something along the lines of "the growth acceleration led to clones that looked different from the original host".

Now I'm not going to argue about the fictional science involved in cloning in the Star Wars universe, but my point is, come ROTS, this was crapped all over, and we see that all the unhelmeted clones are played by Temuera Morrison.

So even if I did show Jango unmasked, the clones as we see them in AOTC wouldn't support Jango being the sole host. Not without an explanation from a supplemental book anyway!

Is there anyone here who can provide me with the German HD broadcast of AOTC? I've attempted to download the thing on 3 occasions but either they stopped being seeded or for some reason refused to download despite ample seeds.

I'm assuming the file would fit on a DL DVD. I'd be covering your postage/disk costs.

It would be a lot easier doing a lot of the things i want to do if we had an isolated voice track available. As it is at the moment, cutting the dialogue messes with the music as they are usually together on the center audio channel.

That, along with my desire to add real model shots to replace much of the cgi (and having none of the expertise or resources to do so) are my main obstacles.

As well as the wooden acting and generally poor story :)

I'm thinking about titles for this edit, and I'm leaning towards 'The Clone War'. I was also considering 'Rise of the Clones' but some people disagreed with me on that title because it would mean we'd still be overusing 'OF THE' and I'm inclined to agree.

With The 'Clone War', I'd be maintaining a naming convention between the two sagas.

Both Episode II and V concern war. Both start with the word THE.

'Attack of the Clones' was fine in terms of naming conventions (which is why Lucas chose it) but he didn't think it through about it actually making sense. Had he wanted to call it ATTACK, the clones should have been on the opposing side.

It's still a pretty weak title though. I'd appreciate suggestions.

That sounds like the hv encodes taken from the British SKYHD broadcasts. I wouldn't bother downloading them. The quality is terrible and it has several video glitches in AOTC

how about The Federation Strikes Back?

Anyone else have any ideas? I think my favourite title so far is Magnoliafan's 'The Clone War' so I'll be giving credit where credit is due if I do choose that title, even though I did come up with the title independently.

Other titles such as JasonN's 'Twilight of the Republic', and Adigitalman's 'Path to the Dark Side' I'm not so keen on. The former just doesn't feel very Star Wars to me, and the latter tells us a little too explicitly that Anakin is turning.

The edits themselves are great though!

Haha. It's ok. Well My first instinct was 'Rise of the Clones' but that would mean overuse of "of the".

I guess it's not a big deal. I can always put my preferred title in my own personal copy, and use a more "unique to the editor" title for the ones I send out/seed (if people want a copy that is)

What emphasis on Qui-Gon are you referring to?

How about The Galaxy Torn Apart (it sort of balances with The Empire Strikes Back).

It makes more sense than Attack Of The Non Attacking Clones.
