NEW COVER UP!!!!

What has 'theology' ever said that is of the smallest use to anybody? When has 'theology' ever said anything that is demonstrably true and is not obvious? What makes you think that 'theology' is a subject at all? - Richard Dawkins

Rikter,

I really like your stuff! I was wondering if you'd be able to post the full size source file of "sparkly Vader". I'd very much like to incorporate it into the set of covers I'm currently working on. And thanks for posting the "Revenge" pic as well. I'll make my set available as soon as they're done. Probably next week.

Cheers,
The Dean

not sure what kinko's is due to the fact that im Canadian and that is most likely a US company... but im sure any place will do it...
if they make a fuse about it just tell them its fan art that you made yourself and would like to display....

then put the images on a CD and measure a DVD cover insert that you already have and have it printed off in those dimensions...
make sure you tell them you want it in colour and in the best possible quality...
be sure to STRESS the best quality or you will get something that is really grainy....
it will cost you for better quality but is well worth it in the end...

Alright, I'm ready to post the cover artwork I've just finished. However my Sympatico account has a pathetic amount of web space for its users. Can anyone recommend a free hosting service that will allow me link to my uploaded files and will allow uploads of files bigger than 5MB.

Thanks,
The Dean

They have many good, free webspace providers listed.

TR47 is on it! - I would also suggest that link

I use my personal site for it - IF your email allows large transfers 5mb+ I will host them until you find another host

PM me

AND..........
Can I add them to my Covers collection? - I'm gonna get a stack of CD's soon and offer up free CD's for everyone of the covers and such

Wow...great job, Dean! If I didn't feel so guilty about printing out another color-intensive cover set, I'd definitely use them. Maybe I'll print them out anyway...

BTW, what programs did you use to create these? I've put off my insert designing longer than I should have, mainly because the programs I was using weren't very flexible. Were the programs you used free? Could anyone else suggest a good program for designing covers and inserts?
Thanks!

This just in!

The covers of the official DVDs:

Almost suitable for printing, if they weren't in German.
Not that you'd want to.

Look, see, just how much these cover suck.

They are nothing compared to the excellent work on covers you've made here at OT.com!

Thanks for the links! The covers are just about as good/bad as I expected. To be honest, I can't really expect avant-garde designs for something mass-marketed to the extent of Star Wars.

It's sad that fans can produce better cover art than the lackeys at Lucasfilm. I mean, it's a good thing, and I love all the different cover designs, but you'd expect more from people getting paid for their work.
