Star Wars 1982 VHS Rental

On the way to me now, I've actually been looking for a physical copy of this for awhile but most of the prices were outrageous.  I should have it early next week and hoping that the tape is in decent shape.

If it's in good shape I may try my hands at a transfer, I know there are others currently available now as well.  Just excited to finally have a physical copy.

It looks really clean for a rental tape. These have been fetching nutty prices for a long time.

The transfer should be identical the the rental only Beta in my collection. The case on mine was damaged, and it took years before I found a similar one to replace it. No fun trying to open those heat welded seals without tearing the cover!

I can't wait to watch it, hoping it's in good shape for a 30 year old tape.  I don't have high expectations though.  If anything it will look cool on my shelf haha

It's an important piece of SW video history as it was the first release. The only gap in my collection is a VHD videodisc copy.

I got one for about $20 a few years back.  Picture was surprisingly good for a tape from 1982.  More importantly though, it does look GREAT in my little display case.  A true piece of home video and STAR WARS history.

Tape was in great shape! I tried converting to DVD but it's too jerky in some spots.  That's what happens when you have crap equipment lol.  I can fire up the old VCR every now and then when I get the itch to watch!
