Recently, I acquired a DVD rip of a promo laserdisc that Pioneer issued in 1984, meant for instore play. It's hosted by the band DEVO (which is the reason I have it). They read some very bad script praising how great the laserdisc is and there's some early commercials for the format (one featuring Ray Charles!) and some info about the laserdisc process and inner workings. It's about a half hour long. Very interesting to watch, and often times just funny. Only thing is it's very badly riddled with disc rot, so it's not PERFECT, but it's definitely watchable and enjoyable. The funniest part about it is how much there is in it about how "laserdisc is forever" and it will never degrade like analog mediums, yet it's so badly plagued by disc rot!
