I am ready for the trials! The movies haven't gotten into what happens to the dead too much. Are there massive cemeteries from the Clone Wars on the planets where clones fell? Are there ornate ancient Jedi tombs on forgotten worlds?

I'd love to see something like that!
I could see Luke visiting Jedi burial grounds to seek some counsel with them. Then you could work in the ghosts of Obi-Wan, Yoda, Qui-Gon, etc.

That doesn't preclude background plates being shot on locations around the world.

Vasquez Rocks was used for Vulcan in Trek '09 with a lot of CGI tweaking.
I saw this as more of an easter egg shout out to Arena, rather than an actual location.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Anyway, the main point I was making was that it's a location that has a history of being in Trek, one of the reasons why I don't think it'll be in Star Wars anytime soon.

Talking of hotels :
The 1st one looks like a good place for a Yavin, Naboo, or Endor location.
The 2nd one looks like it could be a very high mountain on Tatooine.
and the 3rd can be a location on Naboo

Magister Pontifex MaximusThe bottom one is (it's actually in the process of being built now) so it will be finished pretty soon.
The top one was finished three years ago.
Both are Andy Scott pieces (I think they look a lot like the sculptures around Coruscant and Naboo).

The underwater one is a conceptual rendering.

Magister Pontifex MaximusIt's a Star Wars film post 1997, I dare say they could make the whole film in a conceptual rendering.
And I'm getting old and my eyes don't work as well as they did.
