Advanced Padawan LearnerI'm trying to recreate the original ghost-scene from ROTJ. I have a german DVD-5 version of the SE trilogy (german opening crawls), which I thought was a rip from dTV, but, due to its quality, I'm beginning to think that it's more likely to be an anamorphic LD conversion.
I'm also looking for the SE Jabba. Is there a source that has no subtitles? I know, Jabba looks even crappier in the SE than the 2004 version, but I think the SEs need to be preserved a well.
EDIT: Here are the links to the clips...

Han D. SoloIf you have the G'KAR version, which is likely, then it is a dTV rip and it's generally considered to be the best one for Jedi 97SE (sadly, because it is quite bad quality.)
BTW, I was also looking for the 97SE Jabba without subs and couldn't find it. It think it's quite possible that the only version that has that might be some LD rip.

Lucas: I am altering the film. Pray I don't alter it any further.
Fans: This film is getting worse all the time!

"Hooch IS crazy!"The Flunk version of ANH from the '97SE doesn't have burned in subtitles for the Jabba scene or Greedo scene. :)
If you're talking about the Jabba scenes in ROTJ you would need the TB version of ROTJ. Sadly the TB version is extremely hard to come by! :(

Advanced Padawan Learner@ Harmy: I'll look up the G'Kar Version, but I assume it's the same version I have...
@ Lee: I meant ANH...

Advanced Padawan LearnerAh, I see. The G'kar version is the version I have. German crawl etc (I watched it another time, and I'm sure it's not a LD-rip).
It's not good, due to its compression, but it seems to be the best source out there. Too bad.
Does anyone know, where I can get my hands on the flunk-version?

Advanced Padawan LearnerI don't have access to usenet. And I don't know anybody who has.
If there's an upload on RS or anything similar, that would be cool...

Advanced Padawan LearnerSo, three days of avisynthing, virtualdubbing and aftereffecting later...
I took Wookiegroomer's HD-Version, and G'Kar's SE DVD, decapitated Hayden, and put Sebastian Shaw's head, where it belongs.
Here's the clip (without sound), all three (two in the GOUT) scenes edited together:

Advanced Padawan LearnerDammit, right after I uploded the clip I saw, that you can see the edge of the cropped SE image right above Shaw's head. So it's back to work then...

Slayer of DeaditesThe result looks pretty good, TK-949. It should come handy in the future. It seems much higher quality than the plain old G'kar or GOUT.

Slayer of DeaditesHey TK-949, Harmy just made an HD reconstruction of the Jabba scene if you're interested. It's on Youtube here. It has no subtitles so hopefully you like it.
