Hunt down the "Star Jedi" font set - much better than the "Star Vader" one you used.
Also, I don't know what program you used, but if you want "Revisited" and the DVD logo to blend in a little better, turn on anti-aliasing and maybe add a touch of blur to soften the edges.

Does anyone know if Adywan still has his original working files for this?
I'm curious, because ANH:R looks better than the original DVD, yet has been reencoded and still (very slightly) suffers from the compression limitations of MPEG 2.
I know previously I'd asked about an upconverted release (which Ady pointed out would be pointless).
With that in mind, I was wondering if a 480p AVCHD release could be made, using H.264 for much better compression, or perhaps even a BluRay release using lossless H.264?

ANH:R will be redone in 720 after ROTJ:R

... you link title led me to believe that you misunderstood my question... but you didn't :)
The problem lies in that all of the original files are gone

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityYes, everything is gone, the DVD-9 is as high quality as it can go currently, so it must be remade from scratch. Now that we have an HD source (Adywan only got the broadcast HD at the tail end of production on ANHR), it will be made in 720p from start to finish. I can't wait to see what Ady does with his new skills.

"The greatest fraud ever perpetrated on the fanedit community." - Probably Anti-MatterWhile I'm glad I'll be getting a HD ANH Revisited..... I'm far more interested in what he does with Ep. 1. Just my opinion.

Mr. Pontifex MaximusI can't imagine not enjoying an Ady project but personally it ROTJ:R that interests me the most.
Since I was 13 I've had a bitter sweet romance with that film (a bit like the Indy and Alien sequels).
The prequels have just been bitter but I guess none of us would be here if all six were perfect.
Still Collating.

<Insert humorous comment here>Too bad he probably would go completely solo instead of joining the collaborative ROTJ team. Of course, if he's interested, he's welcome to make use of whatever we've done.

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityAdywan has his own ideas and is best when left to them. Not like the collaboration team couldn't use some of his ideas or vice versa!

I don't see it as too bad at all.....he's currently working on ESB, which I'm very much looking forward to seeing. I'd hate for him to stop work on that to work on the ROTJ collaboration. And then when he's done ESB:R he's going to start on ROTJ:R. And from what we've seen so far I trust in his abilities and judgement.
And as for going solo.....he's definitely the head of the project, but he does work with a small team of people, helping him acheive some of the more complicated aspects of the project...so I don't think "solo" really applies here.

<Insert humorous comment here>Oh, I understand all this quite well. I'd never dream of asking Ady to halt his current project to work on something else. I was referring to Bingo's comment, as in when he works on ROTJ:R. I appreciate his collaboration with a team. And I learned quickly when I joined this site that Ady's his own man and makes his own calls. It was meant mostly as an acknowledgement of his abilities and a nice wish that I never expect to come true. But after I wrote the first sentence, I realized it might sound rude, and wanted to make sure he knew his opinions were welcome, even though he'd probably never give them.

He's actually quite vocal about what he feels the problems with the films are, and always encourages discussion. He doesn't always have the time to answer every question, but he does try (though his internet is currently down and has been for several days now)

<Insert humorous comment here>^I meant on our collaborative thread specifically. Believe me, you immediatelyly alerted me to his style when I very first joined this forum and made my first suggestion. Sine then, I've realized that my ideas may not line up exactly with his, and thus I've followed his projects with great interest and anticipation, but not with much participation.

ah, well I can't speak for whether or not he'll subscribe to your thread or not. He tends to be quite busy and often does not have time to respond to things on the official Revisited threads....which is why doubleofive takes on much of that responsability

<Insert humorous comment here>Hey, no worries. It was mostly meant as a compliment, and secondarily as an open invitation which I doubt he'd ever accept.

<Insert humorous comment here>Here is a clip from an old Star Tours promotional video:

I personally think it would be cool to include an alternative version of the entrance to the Death Star trench in particular, given that this one is used twice identically in ANH:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBPA_nfbVcg&t=2m27s
Of course the question is if Adywan can make it appear in the same high quality (and if he feels the footage even matches well enough).

Nope. ANH:Re-R after ROTJ:R. Check the thread title.
