Mr Hutz,

Forseeing what your intervention will destine you to, and assuming you'll be busy enough with your client, I just thought you may need a lawyer yourself.

My fee is £200 an hour.

I'll pay you £8 and you can have two popsicles.

The same dude from District 9 was going to do Halo?  I don't know thing 1 about Halo but that would have been interesting.

Yep.  That's why District 9 was made.

Peter Jackson was producing, and he hired Blomkamp to direct.  They worked on it for a while, and then the Halo movie fell through.

Jackson felt bad that Blomkamp didn't get a chance to direct a big-budget movie, so he gave him $30 million to direct whatever he wanted.  He decided to remake his Alive in Joburg short as a feature, and District 9 was born.

Indeed.  While Blomkamp's Halo may have been great, District 9 is too awesome for me to trade it for Halo.

It might work better as a BSG style telly show as long as it wasn't dependent on some bean counter who could pull the plug just as the series was getting interesting...like so many other shows.

It would give the characters some room to grow.

Say goodbye, to all this and "hello" to Jason Issacs.

Congrats, we have our first Ass-hat
TV Fink/Olie

ChainsawAsh, you are being Unreasonable

Back to the subject, I wasnt really ever a BSG or SG1 kind fo television person, and I dont think I would ever watch an original series on SYFY, maybe SciFi but not SYFY

And this is why I put you on initially without you even making a post

Because I knew it to be inevitable, even when I took you off because you showed good faith you went right back to your normal "SOS thread" habits

How'd I get bumped up to "Unreasonable" so quickly? I made one post that violates your rules, and my shoddy internet tripled it accidentally.  Every other post I've made has been pretty on-topic and "reasonable," in my opinion.

ChainsawAsh, double and triple posts in conjunction with visible pictures, perhaps you will get bumped down soon

Fink, or whatever personality I am talking to, you put it on yourself, if I thought that way I wouldnt have removed you from the list completely in the first place, but obviously you couldnt resist importing your Fink-isms and derailing the thread

Now back to the topic

Come, come the original post declares Anne O'Mophia the thread master.

He set his mission statement clearly from day one, while I agree it was a bit like declaring the Pietanic unsinkable on her maiden voyage, even so we were invited to post nobody used the Force to compel us.

Say goodbye, to all this and "hello" to Jason Issacs.

Sure everyone is doing it and always has.

To some extent this thread is sending out an SOS as much as every thread on the Off Topic section.

Threads asking for help fixing speakers or finding cheap Laserdisc players are the only ones immune.

Come on everyone get happy, let's chase all those "I blue myself"s away.

Back on topic, last serious topic was TV shows of SG1 and BSG

I never really got in to SG1 as it was on when I was working and I was always missing it and it didn't really click with me.

Maybe I should give it another go because being a Farscape (known as Fire Escape in Chateau Bingowings) fan the later episodes have intrigued me.

With BSG I watched the miniseries, thought that was OK but didn't follow it up until much later.

As soon as I saw the first episode proper I was hooked.

I'm highly miffed that it looks like Caprica is going to be axed as I was really getting into it (probably more than I got into BSG).
